When will Duvall just go to the bench and stay three?

This guy keeps getting chances over Duran, but has a .607 OPS since returning from the IL…

No later than September 30, if not August 1. Bloom is hoping he gets lucky and ups his trade value.

Atta' boy Casas. There were always more errors than were called errors. This year its just over the top.

Casas caught chewing on his glove.

lol...my point exactly. One I made before the season even started.

I absolutely applaud MLB for ending this shift nonsense. However fielding is going to be tough until they can get these Hippos, Rinos and Elephants out of the agility fielding positions and then focus more coaching on the issue so we don't see so much of a guy like Casas standing there with his thumb up his ass.

and no......younger folk, we have had many players with the agility to not embarrass themselves in the field that could still hit the snot out of the ball.

Lol did they really take Duran out? WHY
Metrics dictate the moves and removes managerial accountability. He can always pull out the stats to defend himself when a move blows up in his face.

Not sure why you don’t use Arroyo for Kike there. Christian is at least a threat to run into a ball.

Same would apply to Alfaro at that point as well.

Bloom could trade Duvall for a high A prospect or he could add Kike and then obtain a low A prospect.

We can't keep losing games like this one and the last one in OAK.

My confidence is beginning to waiver.

Players are making Bloom’s choice for him. They have to show him that he should be a buyer. They aren’t.

Whether the SOX are buyers or sellers nothing, imho, major is going to happen. Also, based on the fact the SOX have had only 3 starters for quite awhile now, it seems the FO isn't that interested in making a serious run at the PO's anyway.

It’s not easy to get a team ti trade a good pitcher before the deadline. They prefer to wait until the desperation hour sets in and better offers are made.

Btw, indifference by the FO can and will adversely effect the play on the field.

And what the players do on the field may adversely affect what the FO does at the deadline.

Staying under the luxury tax is more importment to multi-billionaire JH than making a serious run at the PO's. IOW, F the fans.

So, like 25 other teams' fans can scream this, too, right?

So what everyone is saying is that what we have is an egg laying chicken , but who comes first? The right answer is the players need to win for themselves , not the fans, the uni, nor to influence the FO. Play to win with best performances. All else including the money will follow.

Well is Boston a small market?

Of course it isn't and if JH has plans to continue treating the SOX as a mid-market franchise, then he should do the SOX fans a favor and sell the team.

If this was the movie MAJOR LEAGUE, I would agree with that. But the truth is no one is accusing the SOX players of not trying to win; it's just a fact that maximum effort is no replacement for talent.
