Thing is, when an ump is calling a good game, no one notices. When there are no out of line calls, you just watch the game without distraction.

This guy is missing everything though. He’s calling high strikes, low strikes, way outside strikes and nothing is consistent. Can’t wait to see his umpire grade card on Twitter after the game!

When there's no wind in Chicago, that harkens the end of the world.

When it comes to Wrigley, when the wind is blowing towards Lake Michigan, it’s the best hitters park there is. When it’s coming off of the lake, it’s a great pitchers park.

I actually notice. It's like Haley's Comet.

Duran hitting .322/.889 . I was surprised at the low number splits on many of the so-called All-Stars

Yoshida .317/.872 , those 2 at the top of the lineup can be a problem for the opposition, followed by Turner .289/.831

These guys absolutely mash RHP. It’s fun to watch

Did something happen? I didn’t notice anything after the AB

Don’t know; I don’t have MLB TV anymore, and even if I did, I’m blacked out of Cubs games here.

They were just wondering after he took two strikes that they said he normally would take a cut at.

He was giving it a little shake. Looked like when Chang broke his hamate on a really big swing. Only concerned that Raffy's 2 HRs tonight get him into the mentality of swinging out of his shoes as he is prone to do.

He’s staying in the game and playing defense, so I’d assume he’s fine

Scott pitching in messy weather but cannot get a strike so further extends the misery.

About 400-420 pitchers in MLB, most of whom have no clue where the ball is going once it leaves their fingers.

Having to waste Jansen in a game like this is a shame. Actually is traceable back to Chang's double clutch throw

Looks like Montreal obtaining a MLB franchise is getting closer to a reality. With all the excess talent in MLB, why not?

Seriously, how many more shite teams does MLB need? Isn't there enough already? Oh, well, money trumps quality.

A few years ago there was an idea that the Rays could play half their home games in Tampa and the other half in Montreal. I don't believe that's part of the new plan.

What's really hurt the MLB talent pool for quite a while now is the fact that African Americans just aren't that involved in baseball anymore.

Nice game.

Good to see the longball coming back for the Sox.

Based on the tie breaker, the Yankems are officially now in last place in the AL East. I know it's still early, but I just enjoyed posting that.

Baseball teams are watered down enough with low quality players who don't belong in the major leagues, they'll be drafting little leaguers next, becoming a joke for the fans and a cash cow for the owners, we already have starting rosters with sub 200 hitters, years ago if you were under 250 you didn't make it

Man, haven't you been reading this forum all season? The Yankees are not in last place! Yes, they're at the bottom of the division, but that's also a tie for fourth. And they're only two games out of wild card berth, tied for seventh overall... in a 15-team league.

They're better than half the teams in the AL. The Yanks are in half place! Their glass is half relevant.

Don't the sub 200 hitters indicate that the pitchers are better now? Pitchers throw harder and with more spin. Baseball is a zero sum game. Better pitching makes for worse hitting and vice versa.

Plus you have guys like Schwarber who can be under 200 but still a weapon because of all the walks and the power.
