@Hunter_Noll

Corey Rosier has been promoted to Triple-A according to the MiLB transactions page.

Good to see the 23 year old get a chance.

He was part of the Hosmer and Ferguson for Groom trade.

Pitching is very hit or miss in the DSL. Hard to get excited over a small sample size, especially one game.

Ceddanne Rafaela was informed after yesterday’s game in Double-A Portland that he’s moving up to Triple-A Worcester. Rafaela: “I’m very excited. … It’s one step closer to Boston”

Sometimes it doesn't take much to know a pitcher has it. Yordanny Monegro has it!

FB sitting around 95, up to 97.

CB with massive drop from a 12-6 shape sitting 78-80

Mixes in a change in the upper 80s, even threw a slider.

Last night, Binelas homered in his 3rd straight game.

He still has a long way to go to make the bigs.

His swing is more compact now! Still a bit long though.

I wonder if the Boston brass views Polar Park with ambivalence and even skepticism. All the longballs flying out of there can certainly give prospects confidence, and boost chances for promotion. But then players are faced with immediate adjustments -- not just to big league pitching, but big league ballparks.

But then players are faced with immediate adjustments -- not just to big league pitching, but big league ballparks.

I think this plays out more with fan bases, especially fans who know ballpark factors in the minors. It's easy to forget, I'm reminded this morning that Polar park is a hitters park. One thing we also don't take into account, is the away parks these prospects are playing at as well.

Now, I could be mixing these two up, but I believe the Stadium at Salem kills flyballs and Greenville is more homer-friendly. That's why guys like Roman Anthony get the promo and start killing the ball.

With that said, FO isn't looking at statlines and home runs when promoting guys. They know what's what, and they're looking at so much more than the stat line, they're looking at contact rate, zone contact rate, chase rates, hard-hit rate, exit velocities etc etc. These things stay exactly the same no matter what ballpark you are in.
