Who are you, moon? We get it, one game at a time. (Not that I don't think it is a good philosophy to have)

I'm practically the polar opposite of moon, but he has used one game at a time in his streaks.

Yesterday was to me a spectacular win given the weak play of the Sox vs. the Cubs and the strong play of the Rays in their last 3 games ( 6-2, 11-5, 7-3) @ Toronto.

But the one game at a time also signifies that each game, despite the incredible length of the MLB season, can be relished (or despaired of) by itself.

Also, in the Sox case, a lot of talent--Sale, Eovaldi, Whitlock, Wacha, Hill, Kike, Bogey--is on the IL or day to day. I think five of those seven will return to duty before the ASG. The question then is "when?"

Tonight's game figures to be a pitching duel--as yesterday's to my surprise proved to be--so of course I'm worried about the Sox lineup's continuing slump. That could end quickly, but the Rays pitching doesn't give away much.

I think they should go one pitch at a time. One out at a time. One inning at a time. One game at a time. One week at a time. One month at a time. One season at a time.

They just had an off day last Thursday in Chicago. Devers needs a rest already?

Doesn’t need a rest, so now it’s against a LHP.

The rays are one of the weakest hitting teams in baseball this year. Sox need to take advantage and pitch well.

Not happening d-money. Definitely a bad start by the only vet starter physically capable right now

What was it Mussina said? You get 32 starts, you’ll have everything working 8 times, something working 16 times and nothing working 8 times. This just might be one of those last 8 for Pivetta.

Yep, that's exactly what he said. If you find a way to win in the back end 8 games then kudos

Was it yesterday Devers hit one that nailed him in the berries? Not saying it’s the reason, just wondering.

SOX anemic offense of late is due to score some crooked numbers. HOPEFULLY.

Good call ! This stretch with irregular starters needs a run scoring average of about 8 to be competitive. July 4th was definitely an outlier, but very appreciated.

I was very impressed with Kutter's stuff yesterday. Let's see how he looks in his next start, but he definitely has a good assortment of pitches.
