I hope someone asked cora why he didn’t houck in. Christ he gave up on this game in my opinion.

You really are an idiot. Do you watch games? Do you read articles? Do you read anything here?

This has been discussed ad nauseum for months.

If Whitlock would have been left in the bullpen he might not have gotten injured and be closing for us this year. They'd probably have 5 more wins easily too

Blame Cora, and Bloom for that.

Id say 10 at very least. Not kidding.

I think they actually are 8-2. Definitely have owned us this year

That's two things you've been dead wrong on. The other was not knowing Houck isn't vaccinated and can't play in Toronto, which has been discussed endlessly on talksox.

Do you ever check your information before posting?

I'm not saying Cora screwed this up. But I'm not defending him, either. He sent two guys out in the 9th, and they were both completely worthless.

Wow! How to take a stand.

What????

When the f*** did I say Houck isn’t vaccinated. I knew he wasn’t and I knew he wasn’t playing you sack of s***. Check your facts. You’re getting me mixed up with someone else. Think before you post

Tyler knew Houck’s status; d-money is the one who somehow didn’t know.

Houck did it to himself. Not vaccinated. Can’t come to Toronto

Here’s my quote that I knew he wasn’t available! Just for proof

Whitlock has never been a closer, so there is no evidence he would be good at it. This is just his second season at the MLB level. Last year he relieved and especially long relieved very well, but was not the closer. This year he's been mostly a starter because of the absence of Sale, etc.

Schreiber this year has demonstrated he's really good coming from the bullpen, and would be a much better choice. Houck has shown he's not a bad choice as closer.

Big mistake by me. I confused you with D-Money on the Houck vaccination. Sorry.

Lots of guys have never been a closer before they became a closer. That’s a weak argument that you keep using over, and over.

You think if Whitlock was in the Bulpen tonight like he was last year it would have made no difference? This is where he was shining last last year all year long

To quick on the draw just to say you got someone.

Easy. We over-reacted--and confused you with D-money-- in part because we are still thinking about how the game was lost.

As for 8-2 vs 7-2 with regards to the Jays dominance of the Sox this season, feel free to check your facts. I did before I posted 7-2.

I agree, but was also half right. The Jay are 7-2 vs. the Sox to date.

Your arguments are as weak as Cora’s when he was asked why he thought Danish was the right guy to try, and get a 6 out save.

Cool. I said I think. Guess I’m DEAD wrong. Could have been an easy “no, i checked and we are 7-2” followed by me saying oh my bad…. But no… I’m DEAD wrong.

I come on here maybe once a month or so…. I would appreciate it if you just ignored me and not speak to me anymore

Thanks

One more time. Whitlock became a starter because Cora badly needed one and because Whitlock has an excellent repertoire, good enough to be a starter.

But why are we arguing about this when he is on the freaking IL and couldn't possibly have been in the bullpen tonight?

Oh, and if he weren't on the IL, do you think maybe he would have been useful starting last night instead of freaking Seabold?

I thought Whitlock had an amazing season last year, a brilliant move by Bloom to use Rule 5 to get him from the Yankees. But guess what? He never closed by coming into the 9th with 3 run or less lead. Not once. So it is inarguable that he has no experience as a closer. Houck has the experience and ain't half bad, but he's not freaking in Toronto because he doesn't want to be vaccinated for covid.

Even Tom Caron, and the guys on the postgame were questioning Cora’s moves tonight. How often does that happen?

It'll be interesting to see after the SOX return to the states if Cora goes back to putting JBJ in RF and benching Ref. With Cora one never knows.

We are talking about this because he may not have been injured if he was left in the bullpen. Being a starter is a much heavier workload.
