He has to be viewed as hit or miss, but he's been due for a look-see for a while, now.

4 pitches, but only the slider is consistent effective--not so the fastball (very hittable), splitter (not controlled), or the changeup. Nevertheless, he is the right guy to get another shot.

A starter coming up from the SOX farm is always a cause for anxiety, but Winck wasn't drafted by the SOX, so he has that in his favor.
