Lousy lineup--6 of the 9 can't hit spit--but about as good as the Sox can muster these days. The weak hitting--in my no doubt ill-informed view--is entirely on Bloom.

 

I agree with Cora that Whitlock should be a starter.

I agree with Cora that Whitlock should be a starter.

 

Seems like Cora is stuck with this bunch for a batting order unless you want to see more of Bobby D-oesn't hit or the rest of the flotsam and jetsam left on the bench. Arroyo bats right so I would not have expected him in the order tonight. Funny how quickly the Sox have found themselves boxed in as far as lineups and batting orders go.

I'm not sure that the braves can get a big blow out win against whitlock to ignite a fire under their middle of the pack offense.

Hurricanes got the Bruins chasing around in their own end and got the 1s goal of the game as a result. That is the Hurricanes specialty. Get you chasing around in your end and suddenly the puck is in the back of your net.
