No excuse for Pivetta going through lineup third time through on day 2 of the season

I agree, but the pen is not very trustworthy, either.

Problem is this division. You don’t wanna start 0-5 or 0-6

Started 0-3 last year against the Orioles…

If there are two things I think we can be sure of, it's that the Yankees value good bullpen arms and the Sox do not. I'm referring of course to the GM's because I'm sure Cora would like a good bullpen.

So we just can’t hold a lead since Gm 4 against HOU?

F’ brutal!

Chaim is not a great GM like we hoped for .Theo was ten times the GM. Cheap bullpen gets cheap results .

This offense is completely dead. They better not get swept here.

They got 2 off the Yankees starter, and since then 4 straight Yankees relievers have each pitched one scoreless inning without having to face the Sox hitters a second time.

That second dinger off Pivetta was on his 3d time through the Yankees lineup.

One more time. The Yankees, after Severino gave up 2 runs in 3 innings, have used five straight relievers to shut down the Sox.

They have a bullpen, and we don't. It's that simple.

The Sox bullpen is not the reason they could be 0-2 very shortly. Giving up the long ball by the starters, and sluggish bats has been more of a problem.

Sluggish bats are because of the Yankees bullpen. The Sox hit both Yankees starters, but haven't done too well against the Yankees bullpen--0 earned runs in 12.1 innings so far. Correction, make that 1 earned run in 13 innings. I missed the run Holmes gave up yesterday.

And my point remains. If the bullpen pitchers are on their game, they have a big advantage only facing hitters one time.

And that, ladies and gents, is who you take the first two games of a series. Use the heck out of your bullpen.
