Christian Koss for one year of AA Yoan Aybar is hilarious in retrospect.

That does look like a steal.

As of now, here are the ranking of all the prospects Bloom has traded for:

12. Winckowski (Beni)

13. Downs (Betts)

14. Seabold (Workman & Hembree)

21. Binelas & 26. Hamilton (Renfroe-JBJ deal)

22. Koss (Aybar)

27. Wong (Betts)

28. R Hernandez (Mazza & Springs)

35. German (Ottavino deal)

36. J Wallace (Pillar)

42. V Santos (Chatham)

Not Ranked

Potts (Moreland)

Grant Gambrell, Freddy Valdez and Luis de la Rosa (Beni-Cordero deal)

Am I missing anyone?

MVP, is Seabold getting by on smoke and mirrors or learned to get people out without bringing heat, or has his velocity improved?

He keeps putting up nice box scores.

@SPChrisHatfield

Can confirm that LHP Jeremy Wu-Yelland had Tommy John surgery yesterday. The #SP60 no. 40 prospect was the club's 4th-round pick in 2020. He spent most of last season in Salem before a 3-game cameo in Greenville.

I didn't have a chance to see yesterday's game. It was free on mlb.tv. Did you watch it?

No. I didn't know it was on TV, or I might have.

Any word on his velo?

Casas is struggling. I still suspect he's going to be making it REAL hard to keep him down by years end, but it's looking like he needs a little bit more time.

He's 1 for 13 over the past 4 games, 3 BB, 7K. Early on in the season, that can really tank your numbers. Before this stretch he was OPSing 937 and it's now down to 801. I'm not worried.

Blaze Jordan is really struggling in Salem. Kid has never seen a pitch he wouldn’t swing at! Pitching continues to suck here in Salem. Really wonder at times if the staff knows much about baseball.

How about Ceddanne Rafaela? Can he be the sparkplug the big league team sorely needs off the nugatory bench?
