Yes the stros pitched Luis Tiant and Cy Young . 26 innings and 1 run. 6 hits i believe.

If you pitch at all well, its easy to get the contemporary MLB hitter out. All they really do is hit mistakes. Don't be wild in the zone and you will get them out. Be wild in the zone and they will kill you, just like we killed the Rays pitchers.

Frankly most hits are on mistake pitches. However it is now ridiculous. Pitchers under pressure leave buckets of pitches right over the heart of the plate and ML hitters do what they will do with pitches like that.

Get out of here with the nonsense! Whitlock is your best reliever not ottavino. Are you that naive and clueless man? Seriously.

That’s Max at his best. All he does is defend Cora.

It usually comes down to pitching and defense.. If a team doesn't have it, they're screwed.

Meh sox lost tonight cause their offense couldn’t hit jack! They’re going home and going golfing. I can’t get on the pitching tonight that’s for sure. The sox made the stros pitching look good than it really is.

I would trade him for a quality pitcher in a New York minute.

If he is going to opt out, or won’t agree to a new contract you have to.

I really hope this series leaves a sour taste on these guys’s mouths. Anyway offseason and trying to make this team better.

Seeing as how most of these guys are multi-millionaires,I doubt it. Most of the 'sour taste' will be in the mouth of fans who don't understand that the better team won.

The much better team won. I tip my hat to them.

Lol. This sox team needs to get better in some areas but eovaldi impressed the heck out of me. He’s a gamer.

'Meh?' You stealing from MAX now?

I'm glad you pointed out how most of these players don't need rings or bonuses. No one will be crying on the flight home. How do you make a millionaire feel bad, introduce him to a billionaire.

I'm not going to bitch at anyone. The game sucked.

The season was fun to watch.

The team looks to be improving. The farm is improving. The players who are out of team control are not really key players, except for maybe ERod and JD, if he opts out.

Hats off to a great season that ended too soon.

This winter should be an interesting one.

You cannot have watched this series without believing the better team won. I loved the Sox getting out to that 2-1 lead in ALCS, but then they were crushed by the Astros pitching.

Nowhere. It's just nice to confirm you blind spot.

Max I think your the one who has a blind spot. Brilliant Cora is not. When the home runs dried up , so did Cora.

Oh stop it! The better team who executed better win this series. Did you forget the sox had a 2-1 series lead with a lead going into the 8th of game 4? After that the sox where invisible. It was a combination of the sox stinking up the joint offensively and the stros taking advantage of their opportunities. Sox had a power outage.

Best player on the field for the SoX by a freakin mile.

Yes they got beat by Luis Tiant and Cy Young. Let’s not shift the blame to the sox hitters. Think about this the stros where missing their best pitcher and where beat up in the starting pitching department. These guys are not max scherzer.

Agree on all--although I do think the Astros deserve a shout-out. They deserved to win the ALCS, just as the Sox deserved to be in the ALCS after having to beat the Yankees and Cole in the wild card game and then the 100 game-winning Rays in the ALDS.

Your right about it should be an interesting winter.

Let Bloom do his off season work. He has at least 10 spots on the 40 man and 5 on the 26 man roster to upgrade. Not necessarily studs, just better, more consistent players with some experience.

You and I see the ALCS differently. I completely agree the Sox looked great winning 2 of the first 3 games, but after that they simply could not hit the Astros pitching, scoring a total of 1 run in the final 26 innings. The Astros pitching dominated the Sox lineup, pure and simple.

Well I'm officially cheering for the Astros to lose the WS now.

I'll be watching hockey. Baseball for this year ended for me tonight. I'm not even sure I like baseball that much, because 99% of the games I watch are SOX games.
