Brasier or Houck should be of been the option there. f*** , even Robles was a better option. I seriously don't get these moves. He did that all season too. It's like he gives up on the game and moves on the next one

The chUMP missed the call; how is that VAZ's fault?

I was responding to the post about 4 straight fastballs to Correa to start the inning.

Who called those pitches?

Eovaldi can't pitch until Friday, game 6, which is 3 days from today and 3 days from his start last Saturday. So, no, this was not some huge gamble.

I don’t care about he still threw over 20 pitches.

This one feels more like a 6-2 finish. Altuve is a notorius first pitch fastball swinger. Not sure if it was the pitch or the call by Vaz or both

Wrong again, looks more like 7-2

I meant 9-2, silly me . Laz Diaz, you were warned

I feel cora f***ed up tonight but this game is on the offense. They did nothing.

I don’t wanna hear that ********. It has been overused and our offense couldn’t do diddly poo tonight.

The truth will set you free. Btw, the SOX offense is the only reason the SOX are this deep in the PO's, so why don't you give them a break. You're like a broken record.

I’m just not a fan of bringing in a starting pitcher like Eovaldi in, on short rest to pitch in that situation. With a lead, I get it, but in a tied game? Just odd.

All the bashing, and smashing the last two games, and now it’s even 2-2, and with Sale going tomorrow oh how the tide has turned, and not for the better.

I thought with Pivetta going and the Astros using a pen game that the Sox had a decided advantage since they could take tonight and then rely on a win from Eovaldi back in Houston. This alters the calculus. That HR off Whitlock changes it completely

Stros have the pitching advantage tomorrow unless you think sale is gonna surprise us. It’s crazy how momentum can change in an instant.

I am not gonna bring in my starter because of that and i am thinking long term here. The guy threw over 20 freaking pitches .

Well they gonna need a miracle performance from sale tomorrow with probably houck backing him up. Maybe Whitlock pitches one inning. It’s simple the Red Sox better find a way to rake tomorrow.

Dust yourselves off and get ready for game 5. This is officially a series now. The umpiring made me sick but that’s a tale for another thread. A brutal call to K JD and Nate executing a perfect pitch would have gotten us out of this inning tied 2-2. Sickening.

The ump made 2 crucial ugly bad calls. One to JD and another to Eovaldi.

So what? Against the Rays Pivetta threw 73 pitches on Thursday, Oct 7, and 67 pitches 3 days later on October 10th.

Exactly. It was likely his throw day; he can do it in the game or in the pen.

That takes a told on you. This gamble by cora could fall flat on his face.

20 pitches isn't that big a deal, he'll still have a few days between his next appearance.

Great pitching effort for 7 innings.

They going back to Houston that’s all we know and the stros have all the momentum on their side. Sox better find a way to get it back early in that game tomorrow.
