The sox saved cora’s bacon once again!!!!!! Go sawx!!!!!!

Now the pitching staff can get a well deserved rest if only for a few days. Great win!

Sox have every reason to celebrate because in the last two games the Rays played them very, very tough. Plus the Sox had to play the Yankees Tuesday.

The griping about Cora is just horsehockey.

No baseball, I think, until Friday. So Eovaldi can start game 1, ERod game 2, and a player to be named later game 3, a week from today. I'm thinking it will be Pivetta.

Whitlock saved the night - and Tampa of all teams lost on some shaky fundamentals late. Somehow or another this team has made the Final Four. This was a four game series - but boy was it hard.

The top of the lineup were the heroes - but a hat tip to Christian Vasquez who has been clutch the last two games. There is something to be said about him just being a hard guy to punch out.

Naw he needs to go with his best reliever from here on out if he wants to preserve a lead if he wants the w. Bad outing by Brasier. He did twice as well . I am going with whitlock for the 8th if have a two run lead. Preserve it.

It was a poor choice but it was between one of the hottest hitters in baseball and a good power hitter. If they'd walked Hernandez they at least would have given themselves a chance to get out of the inning with a DP.

Is there a (good) reason why the Rays shouldn't have walked Hernandez in that situation?

I know. They didn’t want to face Devers I guess, but Feyerheisen throws very hard; high fastballs still would have given him some trouble.
