Tanner Houck (0-3) with a nice ERA of 3.26, but who gets little support from his hitters goes against TBD who is likely Rodon (11-5) .

20 games to go, need 10 W's for a 90 game season for the Red Sox. If that had been a given on March 30 , most fans would have signed up quickly.

In the eternal race for the 2 WCs , a one game play-in demolition derby The Red Sox are listed as #1 but NYY has 2 more games to play, and Toronto has 3 to play, only 1/2 back, and are streaking. The other pretenders in the AL West, Seattle and Oakland are each 2 games back, but also have 2 more to play than the Red Sox . Advice for the Sox: win about 15 of the 20 to solidify your playoff game.

Meanwhile TB12 goes to 6-0 pitching against the Cowboys who are probably looking for a kicker

The white Sox have a left hand starter in Rondon

Right. Even so, it's a little unusual for a hitter with Verdugo's numbers to sit two games in a row. It suggests they may be prioritizing defense a little more.

JD has back spasms:

New Sox lineup: Hernández CF, Schwarber DH, Renfroe RF, Bogaerts SS, Devers 3B, Dalbec 1B, Vázquez C, Santana LF, Iglesias 2B, and Houck RHP.

Are we ever going to see our full and best line-up?

We've never even seen any 9 of these together in one lineup, have we?

Schwarber

Devers

Bogey

JD M

Renfroe

Kike

Verdugo

I don't see Martinez in the official lineup.

5. JD DH

6. Renfroe RF

7. Dalbec 1B

Missed strike 3 , though. When you have a man at third less than 2 outs, you have one job. Iggy failed

A shame that he couldn't put the ball in play and then Kike struck out and opportunity lost. Rodon is a tough guy to hit.

Awful pitch on 3-2, 2 outs. Damn determined to fall behind. Houck needs to be seriously considered for the BP next year, not the rotation
