If you thought the O's scraped the bottom of the barrel with Gomez today, think again. Sunday's starter, Akin , is 0-6 with an ERA of 8.23 . Baltimore is exploring new frontiers of incompetence.

Ouch. I hope they can sit Mullens and Mancini today.

I'll be chilling out in the park not too far from Fenway. On my way there now, along with everyone else on their way to Fenway via the T. Can't have a better day than this in Boston

It's almost as if they are Akin to incompetence

I'm in KC and going to see Cardinals play Royals today. Go Sox. I will have to follow the game on the scoreboard.

Sweep in the making . JDM delivers against some awful AAA type pitching Edited by vegasbob

Sloppy pitching by sloppy Erod, and Devers let's the ball get away to allow a run. Play from behind vs a pretty weak team.

Another "earned run" not so earned.

Wow, the O's just cannot pitch a lick. Anybody know if the Rays have as many games remaining with this AAA pitching staff as we have?

Sox will complete the sweep and Erod will get better as the day goes on

Yes, f*** the 'win' stats....

Schwarber continues not to hit and not to play in the field, but everybody else around him is hitting and fielding.

Breaking him in slowly, it seems.

Are these Schwarber comments for real? He's had 3 official at bats since coming back along with 2 walks.

The concerns are serious. Schwarber is undeniably hitless since the trade was made.

Gets a chance with the bases loaded and extends his hitless streak, not even deep enough for a sac fly. Kyle has gone horribly wrong

Schwarber and Dalbec might regret not scoring anybody with bases loaded. Erod is not that tough a pitcher that the O's will fail hitting the rest of the game.

ERod is looking sharp again and throwing a lot of strikes which will help him go deeper in the game.

Very encouraging.
