Richards vs Peralta

Peralta had a good stretch for a while and then got lit up last two times out. I predict runs.

Detroit was 8-19 in April, but is 43-38 since then.

And they're 30-24 at home.

So they're not the quite the cupcake we had come to know and love in recent years.

tough situation, here. Of course I want the Sox to win, but if Richards does well, we may start him again. I want him gone.

Can we win 20-17?

Schoop - 120 OPS+

Cadelario - 119 OPS+

Grossman - 118 OPS+

Baddoo - 130 OPS+ for a rule 5 pick!

Tigers have nearly twice the SB's as BOS. It's a better offense than you'd think. They have some high upside pitchers too (Skubal, Mize, Turnbull, Soto, Boyd, Cisnero).

The bottom of the roster is hideous though.

Maybe Moon should have created this or someone should go back to back lol. Even after a loss

This whole changing every time we lose isn’t working worth a damn lmao.

Thanks to the O's last night, we are back to one game out from Rays. Need to start hitting and rack up 7 or 8 runs asap to keep the heat on the Rays. This is a notable game to see if the Sox can respond and get their game faces back on to compete Edited by vegasbob

It's how it has always been (except in 2020 when nobody wanted to make threads so we just did series threads and that worked out poorly).

The O's? I think you might have meant the Mariners.

Same people say that at my work.

Me - why do we save this in 10 different spots? What a waste of time

Them - It’s how it has always been….

Me - Aaaaah, we’ll don’t wanna mess with the process then lol.

But fair enough haha. I know baseball is definitely superstitious and all that stuff. I’m good with it. Just being funny.

Hopefully we can turn this Damn second half around.

Soooooooo what your saying is we have a chance ??? Nice !!!!!

We're 0-3 since I got sick. Change that please

As long as the bats are awake I like our chances but they do have the better rotation minus Peralta who tends to get shelled .Win tonight is pretty damn important .

Peralta's k% is bottom 2% in MLB. He leaves his sinker up a lot. He doesn't elevate his 4 seamer. He can leave that slider out on a tee middle/middle. His splitter is decent, but he rarely uses it. He really doesn't get much movement on his pitches. He just leaves everything down in the zone and hopes for the best.

The hits keep on coming; Barnes on the Covid list and unavailable tonight.

Who closes? The choice most of this year was Ottavino but with his struggles lately, do they risk turning to him?

Maybe Taylor?

Maybe he was hanging out with the Yankees.
