They need to redo the seats. Thye are too small and uncomfortable, and down the RF line, they face towards LF/CF not the mound.

More and better bathrooms are needed.

The place has too much charm and nostalgia to be thought of as a dump.

I thought they fixed a portion of the RF seats a few years ago?

I don't mind the seat size. I don't mind that it's a little more uncomfortable than every other park I've been too. I think the obstructed seats are a blight on Red Sox nation though.

I spent some nights in the back rows of the CF bleachers, underneath/obstructed by the videoboard. You haven't lived until you sit through that for 9 innings

I've never been back that far. I don't mind the RCF bleachers.

Oh well. One more day isn't so bad. Rest of the weekend looks very sunny, albeit a little cold. We will still get 3 games in

At least we aren't the only unhappy fanbase today.

@Buster_ESPN

The Mets-Nationals game tonight is being postponed, re COVID issues.

That's the more concerning PPD of the two, as well

If the COVID PPD's continue this year, will they actually use the taxi squads or just have teams not play a full season? MiLB doesn't start until May, so there's a few extra guys hanging around that could fill out a squad.

But don't worry, Covid-supporters: Texas (which presently has one of the worst infection rates in the country) will have a full stadium for opening day.

You gotta figure early season PPDs will try to be made up later, like any other rainout. Just a whole week's worth of rainouts to make up

@SoxNotes

Garrett Whitlock is the first pitcher in 26 years to make the Red Sox’ Opening Day roster after being selected by the club in the Rule 5 Draft the previous winter. The last to do it was Vaughn Eshelman in 1995.

@TomCaron

Cora says his lineup for Opening Day for today would've been (and should still be for tomorrow):

Kiké Hernández 2B

Verdugo CF

Martinez DH

Bogaerts SS

Devers 3B

Renfroe RF

Gonzalez LF

Vázquez C

Dalbec 1B

There is not that many obstructed, but yes, it is a blight.

What's the chances Dalbec ends up as the leagues best #9 hitter?

Decent, but if he really mashes, he won't stay at #9 long. Also, if Duran is brought up, I bet he gets slotted there.

No seats should ever be sold where you can't see the mound, home plate or 1B.

Agreed, but certainly our bottom of the order does not have any "black holes.:

Vaz has an OPS around .800 from 2019-2020. Dalbec looks very promising. Between Cordero, Marwin, Arroyo, Chavis, Duran and maybe even Downs or Munoz, we should be able to field a decent hitter for our "flex slot."

MLB, who hurt you?

@EvanPetzold

It’s snowing at Comerica Park.

All games through 4/15 should be in the South, West Coast or in a dome.
