Hicks to have wrist surgery.

Dominoes.

I think you should lay off these kinds of comments. I know you're sticking it to jacko who acted like everyone on the Yankees was immortal, but it really seems like you are happy to see Stanton and now Hicks getting hurt.

I'm not happy at all. I never wish an injury on anyone.

I do think it is fair to point out how injury prone the Yanks have been over the past few seasons, and how they have become predictable, hence the "dominoes" comment as more are almost certain to follow.

BTW, jacko is constantly riding Eovaldi's pending IL stint, projecting the worst recovery possible for Sale and on and on.

I don't disagree with any of that.

Pretty crazy game. Rodon and Montgomery combine for 13 innings, 0 runs, 6 hits, 0 walks, and 24 Ks. Yanks fail to score in the bottom of the 8th with 1st and 3rd nobody out (another out on the bases and double play wtf!). Very deflating, then Chapman lets the first two runners on in the 9th so it's starting to feel a little hopeless. But a triple play (can't remember the last one I saw the Yankees turn) gets them out of the inning, and spirits are elated again. Then the walk off in the bottom half seals it. Exhausting game, but very memorable

They were very very lucky with that TP. Chapman was already done. It was just a matter of time.

All over the map on Monty.

Gotta admit your pitching has been top notch.

I’ve been consistent with Monty. He’s a mid to back end starter. Yesterday, he flashed up. He doesn’t have the stuff to just dominate day in and day out and he also doesn’t have the stuff to gut through a start when half his arsenal isn’t working like Cole can. He’s a solid pitcher and last night’s effort was tremendous

Geez NYY are catching a lot of ridiculous DPs and calls from the ump which should balls. Let’s see how much this last.

Skankees are getting ridiculous pitching right now. The white sox might be pretenders.

Ump has not called the game fairly for the WS. The strike zone is ridiculous inconsistent.

16-5 in the last 21. Stanton (supposedly) is due back Tuesday as it sounds like his IL placement was purely precautionary. Torres is on fire. Voit is still in spring training mode. Judge has been hitting and Lemahieu has been going oppo again. Our offense needs a boost from CF and/or LF. If we don’t start seeing something from Frazier or Gardner, you’ll see some trades occurs g

Lol were you only watching the White Sox bat? Ump was calling strikes on pitches 6 inches off the plate for both sides. So yes inconsistent, but not one sided.

You're starting to sound a little concerned though. Do the White Sox suck now since the Yanks are beating them up?

The white Sox showed up defeated today. The only issue during this Yankee streak is they seem to take the foot off the gas when they’ve won a series. My hope is they come out swinging tomorrow, but if we are to follow recent history, they’re likely to get banged around tomorrow

It's also hard to sweep a series. Don't forget that the guys on the other side are still professional baseball players. Plus, even the worst teams can be expected to win 1 out of every 3 games

True, and I think the Yankees are 1-6 in games this season when going for the sweep.

Sox are only 4-3, but 2 of those wins came during the 9 game win streak, and another was in a 2 game series.

They got dominated in the last game of the 4 game set in Baltimore a few weeks ago, and completely blew the game against the Angels last Sunday. It's tough to sweep. Nothing wrong with it. Even if the Yankees won 2 out of every 3 games, they would end up with one of the top 5 records. Y'all are fine. Stop looking for something to gripe about

Yanks pick up Chapman for his first ER this year. Sweep best team in the AL.

They were only "the best" for the first game, but you guys are red hot, especially Torres and your SP'ers.

The ChiSox are the best team in the weakest division. Not the best team in the league.

White Sox are going nowhere with LaRussasaurus calling out players in the media. Bet on the inferior Guardians, whose skipper knows how to manage modern athletes.

Tampa is even hotter right now. The 3 best teams in the AL are probably all in the East. Although I can accept arguments Oakland belongs on that short list...
