Probably not, unless we seem some serious bounce back. Toronto has the advantage, as of now, but not by all that much.

 

Renfore should be better on O than JBJ.

EHern should be better on O than what we had at 2B, last year.

Dalbec for a full season should help, but we had a .942 OPS at 1B, last year.

 

None of these compare to the Jays additions on O.

 

We need big bounces from JD, Devers & Beni.

I have to admit to being somewhat optimistic.

We've definitely improved our SR, BP, & IF. We've improved our offense, and if JDM & Beni can re-find their swings, We've got what can be a pretty potent offense.

 

Perhaps with Cora back at the helm, they will rediscover that old 2018 fire?

 

God, that seems a lifetime ago.

 

I'm embracing being the underdog too. Really our rightful place in ALE mlb history.

That Jays lineup is loaded from top to bottom. Here's hoping their pitchers are a bunch of garbage cans, otherwise they could be beating all our asses this season.

I watched those Jays in a Double A game a few years ago and it was clear that Toronto soon going to dominate the majors again in the near future. And it wasn't just that Vlad, Biggio and Bichette had famous dads... that day we saw Vlad and Cavan blast HRs out of the stadium, and Bo hit more liners than any of them.
