I think besides obviously rooting for anyone playing Yankees, I really want winner of Padres/Dodgers to win WS. I still root for Mookie and love me some Tatis Jr

Three teams that I hope don't win the WS are the Yankees, the Astros, and the Rays, in that order. I can get on board with any of the other teams winning.

Believe it or not I actually want the Yankees to beat the Rays. For reasons I have stated earlier, I would be ok with the Yankees winning the World Series. I also hate the Yankees more than the Rays. Somebody my age has had more negative experiences with the Rays than the Yankees during my lifetime as a fan

I'd be okay with the Rays, because they'll have done a good thing for the world along the way. :D

I’d rather the season get canceled than Yankees win. Literally anything is better than Yankees winning. I’m not gonna root for Rays but if they take out Yankees, I’ll live with them being champs

Yeah I pretty much feel the same way. Ideally I kind of just want an NL team to win it all.

The Dodgers have a pretty good lead off hitter. And they have the look of a juggernaut . ( Kind of like the Sox of 2018 ) Anyone else going all the way this year would be a decided upset.

That's your opinion. Nothing wrong with that. I just feel differently, largely because I grew up in a state with an equal amount of Sox and Yankees fans

Agree about the Rays taking out the Yankees.

They do look like the powerhouse that should win it all. I don't think the Dodgers can really claim this year as a success unless they go all the way.

Even then, with this being a short season, I'll always think less of whoever wins it all.

Not me. It was a deficient season, but these playoffs, with the teams that are left, are legitimate.

The nice thing about this season is we can put an * next to it if the Yankees win.

Lol. This year’s playoffs are harder to win than any year prior. There’s an extra round that is shorter which leads to far more variability. Also, the 5 game ALDS being 5 straight days absolutely selects for a resilient team. If anything, the asterisk should be that their title was the hardest to win in the history of the game

So you're saying a 3 game round makes this title more difficult than the teams that faced single-game elimination when one hit, one play, one bad throw or one error can end the season? Which is exactly what happened to Milwaukee last year when the beneficiary (Washington) went on to win it all...

He's setting up his excuses now for when the Yankees don't win the World Series. Every year with Yankees fans it's something different. 2017? Oh Houston cheated (well they actually did) 2018? Angel Hernandez cost us that series. They're a good team, but since 2009, they've had a propensity to lay an egg in the Postseason. 2012 ALCS was ugly as well

The best was his excuses for the loss in the 2018 ALDS, which included being robbed by a lucky, game-saving catch by Andrew Benintendi. Benintendi's catch came against Houston in the following series...

A couple people I know blamed the weather in Game 4 for knocking down that Sanchez sac fly. It would be a true statement to say that it would have been out in June, but that's postseason baseball for you. It's played in October every year, so shut up. But, I do agree that if the Yankees had won that game, they would have won game 5.

Yankee fans , much like the Yankee manager , become confused at times.

The “this is the hardest title to ever win” argument is such ********. Every team is playing under the same conditions and EVERY Championship in every sport is hard to win.

Or.. the counterargument for Jacko is that all the other Yankee titles were therefore just easy, cheap and meaningless.

I mean, most of them were before there was even an LCS. Why bother even counting them anymore at all?

LOL One of the things that I like about you is that you make me laugh.

Last few innings of the Dodgers-Padres game were some wild drama.

Dodgers have a closer problem that bears watching.

True . Jansen shows an alarming drop in velocity . His fastball was 88 or 89 . Dave Roberts needs to think about it . I don't think Joe Kelly is the answer. Maybe Treinen.

Graterol.

That wipeout slider is one of the nastiest pitches in MLB...
