Somewhere between those moments Jad accuses him of being a regular practiser of necrophilia

Well, at least he’s only practicing...

Red Sox signs Kevin Pillar on 1 year deal worth 4.25 mil.

When he clears the physical check, it will become official. That may come over the weekend. I believe that may be a precursor for a trade deal involving JBJ. Maybe a pitching prospect and a reduction of salary clearing the way for signing a starting pitcher. Cmon Bloom, make moves which will improve the team.

You're hoping for too much there, and besides, with Verdugo on the IL to start the year, JBJ isn't going to be traded.

Not to mention, there are no remaining free agent pitchers the Sox need to “clear room” to sign...

That too. And what is the holdup with signing Buchholz? ;)

He’s got too much bullfrog on his hands and is stuck on the couch.

Verdugo has stress fracture. Sox knew about it and don’t think it’s long term.

Guess it’s not hereditary????

Oh, that shouldn’t be a problem at all for an everyday player. Because swinging a bat, running and throwing a ball doesn’t put any stress on the back. And let’s not forget how well Clay Buchholz bounced back to have a long durable career after the stress fracture in his back healed.

Was that when he was napping with his kid?

Kevin Kennedy was wrong!?!?!?!?!?

Posted
The question should be how did he get the stress fracture.

Why?

The Sox doctors examined him and weren’t too worried. Your medical consultant Kevin Kennedy proved what we all knew - that he never knows what he’s talking about.

I know the Red Sox clearly don’t know as much about this situation as you do, but let’s see how this plays out...

From his genetics obviously!!!!!

Laugh now but I would wait until this all plays out before I would dismiss it so lightly. Most stress fractures reportedly clear up in 6 to 8 weeks. This guy was injured back in August.

You would want to know how the fracture happened so you do not do again what caused it the first place. Secondly like I wrote before most stress fractures clear up in 6 to 8 weeks was injured in August. Thirdly the Sox medical staff has never misdiagnosed any player in the past no never not one no never. Yah right.

But trust Kennedy’s opinion over Sox trained medical staff? Ok.

They’ve also made a lot of correct diagnoses, and sports medicine might not be as simple as your WebMD searches make it out to be.

The bottom line is, you have absolutely no idea how much they know, but citing them as being wrong before is tantamount to you being right now is false logic...

To be fair, this might have been Kennedy’s first misdiagnosis.

Unless he’s made other attempts. At any point ever...

Cheap copay at his office though!

Not at all. He makes you listen as he drones on and on about his successes as a manager. I’d rather pay any fee. Or shave my head with a cheese grater....

You would have a much better argument if this guy was actually playing. Moreover you have no idea when he will actually begin to play. Finally no one knows once he is cleared to play whether he will be told to take it easy and given periods of prolonged rest. So until all these things happen you are just assuming that Verdugo will be the player he was before he was injured. Statistically speaking since players who spend extended periods on the DL/IL have a higher incidence of returning to the IL than those who have never been on the IL, that is one MASSIVE ASSUMPTION. Until Verdugo actually gets on a baseball diamond you have no evidence to support any contention that he can play the game at the level he once did.

Yep. You’re right as usual. The fact that none of us know any of that clearly means no one does. After all, teams regularly violate HIPPA laws on the internet to appease fans...

I believe the Twins made that exact claim against the Red Sox that they violated HIPPA.
