That is strange..... Must be hard to make or the ingredients (birch) is tough to find.... Sounds like it was pretty popular so I doubt it fell out from ppl not drinking it. SPLENDIDSPLINTER said the ones that are left are pretty expensive now.

Actually here, Birch Trees have gotten pretty scarce Used to have stands of Birch. Rare now. Contractors have destroyed so much of their root structures indiscriminately landscaping and developing around them. They really do not tolerate having their root structures messed with....less tolerant than other trees in that regard. Contractors COULD landscape so that the Birch could be saved.....too much to ask....OF COURSE.

Just checked on Amazon and discovered that PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH is still manufacturing Birch Beer. A 12 pack of 12oz cans will cost $22.00. Damn, that makes the Birch Beer sold locally seem like a bargain. Plus, it's sold in bottles, not s***** cans. I've just talked myself into obtaining a six-pack on my next trip to WEGMANS.

Bottles are the only way to go for a Birch Beer.

True. Birch Beer is made with the bark of Birch trees.

The brands that used to have a Birch Beer were usually the brands that had a cream soda and a root beer. Birch would slide right into that lineup. I have kept expecting IBC to make a Birch Beer so that I could at least try it. No luck. Stewarts....same story....should have one but don't. Jones or Dr Jones whatever the hell it is should probably not even attempt it.

Polar has one I THINK. I know they had one. Not to my liking but as with all things, your mileage may vary.

It is usually clear in color and that clear color makes you feel like you just got your hands on some real moonshine liquor though the taste is not similar.....but that clarity of the liquid just makes you feel like you are doing something illegal, especially if you are only 8 years old. Its moonshine clear as opposed to sparkling water clear.

Btw, SNAPPO makes a clear root beer. I didn't like it as much as A&W.

Things like this I would definitely want in bottle. I don’t think it would be near as good in a can. That’s like having an MGD or Corona in a can. Not the same. Damn that’s expensive.

The clear is formally called "White Birch Beer". It IS less snappy than "Birch Beer" and I think it probably takes some knack to get the sweetness and the bite to balance in White Birch Beer. Probably why combined with a lack of White Birch Trees, its really rare or I perceive it as really rare now. Polar's clear Birch Beer is really not very pleasant. I found it to have a very flat taste. Did not IMO get either the bite or the sweetness right.

Not surprised. POLAR should stick to club soda.

I don't think I want to see any of these relievers next year.

Workman ? Come on. He’s definitely our closer. Anyone else I don’t care about.

Bookworm has progressed thru the years to GEEK and now to NERD.

Nerds/geeks are my favorite people in the world.

I mean that with 100% sincerity.

I love comics, and I love nerdy s***..... Yet not a fan of The Big Bang Theory.... Not sure why.... Strange. Just can't get into that show.

ERod is a winner.

Team record in his starts- 2018 and 2019:

19-4 2018

24-8 2019

That's an amazing 43-12 (78% winning pct.)!

He's our Ace. Prove me wrong folks.

Only Sale and health can prove you wrong.

How many teams have a better number 1 or 2?

I'd say maybe 20-30 have a better #1 and 5-10 a better #2. I'm not sure anyone has a #3 better than ERod, so calling him a 3-4 is rather rash.
