Let’s keep it going.

I also find it funny that Oakland keeps kicking the Yankees ass. Hope that’s a sneak peek if they get each other in the playoffs.

Here's hoping the Yankems beat the A's the next two games. Hoping for the Yankems to win is as unnatural as it gets.

I am starting to suspect that Boone is tanking the games against the A’s.

The only thing is, the Yanks are in a battle with the Stros for HFA.

Ya I know. It’s so wrong cheering for the Yankees. Ugh.

If so, he's doing a bad job. (And how would one do this? Go to Judge and Sanchez and say: 'Listen, dudes. I'm really worried about the RS, who have almost no chance of getting the wild-card, and whom we beat the crap out of much of the year. How about you two take a couple of third strikes for the team. And WHATEVER you do, don't hit it out.")

No, no the Yanks really need the best record in the AL. In my humble opinion, they will lose vs Houston if they don't have the home advantage. Oakland today had about 35 base runners and could have won the game easily in each of the late innings, but no rbi hit

The Astros look better on paper, and I think they should beat the Yanks, even if the Yanks have home filed, but yes, I hope Houston ends up with the best record.

How valuable is Mike Trout? Well, without him the Angels would be out of PO contention and probably be a below .500 team. Oh, wait.

IMO you have to watch Trout play in the field and in the batter's box to really appreciate his game. For example he swings at fewer crap pitches than any other ballplayer I see today including JD. He goes to the plate with the same mentality about picking his pitch and staying away from the garbage every AB. There is virtually nobody else doing that in today's game.

Then there are his instincts on the base paths and in the field which at least as good as anybody playing.

You misunderstood my post. Trout's the best in the game. I'm just against giving the MVP to a player on a non-contending team.

Then your alternative would be giving it to the player surrounded by better ballplayers.

There is no in-between in this instance. You either favor giving the award to the player that appears to have had the best year or the player who appears to have contributed greatly to a "successful" team effort.

I simply think they mis-named the award. You can make that argument. But I don't think it will get you very far as that decision is several decades old.
