I'm not so sure Buch has anything left in the tank. 12 starts last year, 6.56 ERA, 1.492 WHIP. He's 35 now. Without steroids, a lot of guys are done at 35.

It’s certainly possible. But if all the remaining options who will likely sign a MiLB contract, who is better?

Jeremy Hellickson might have to settle for a MiLB deal, in which case he is probably th best option. The rest are worse or less likely to sign MiLB deals...

Henry is right about the media: it keeps recording his words, replaying them on the news and quoting them in the papers.

In the papers and media outlets that he owns.

He was ready when we needed him, at least.

So.. are you saying we didn't need him on the days when he won?

I'm hoping that Velazquez is sharper in 2020 and can be helpful as the 6th starter.

At least people aren't talking about Brian Johnson anymore.

The singer for AC DC? Yeah, too bad or good about him, depending on whatever happened. Same old story, I guess.

But hey, at least there are no other Brian Johnson's worth talking about. And that makes me smile...

I'm saying I enjoyed watching him suck over Johnson sucking worse.

Johnson will almost certainly do some pitching for us this year.

I missed the news of his waiver.

Giants DFAd him. I doubt he accepts assignment, so I expect free agency with Giants basically paying the bulk of his $12.2mill guaranteed salary...

I'd rather try him than Peraza, but we already signed JP. He'd be a good depth signing with hope of a return to glory.

Cozart was having injury problems in recent years, but he would be worth the gamble.

Especially since the Sox would pay him like $500K and the Giants would be paying him $11.7 Mill.

Perfect payback for Sandoval...

Cozart has missed time twice with forearm issues, had a concussion, a neck strain, had surgery to repair the labrum in his shoulder in 2018 then had an exploratory procedure on the same shoulder last year, both surgeries ending his seasons. He’s toast

THen he gets cuts. Either way, San Francisco pays the overwhelming bulk of the salary...

He might be.

There’s depth then there’s depth. It’s like the Vikings bringing in 41 yr old DBs coach Terence Newman for a workout. He’d alive and breathing, so he counts as depth, but it’s not good depth
