Of course they do, but I highly doubt they mix with the general population.

Speaking of Native Americans, everyone should be acquainted with the song AS LONG AS THE GRASS SHALL GROW by Johnny Cash.

I'd propose giving N.Dakota and S. Dakota to Canada and let Canada deal with it.

Only, if they agree to take Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.

Trump is trying to buy Greenland; he should be selling.

No way this country is making the PO's. SELL!

Trumpy probably thinks GREENLAND is green all year long, so I'm sure he'd want to build golf courses there and make the Greenlanders pay for them.

Aaron Nola's little-known older brother, Austin Nola, finally made his MLB debut with the Seattle Mariners on June 16 at the age of 29 years, 170 days:

https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/n/nolaau01.shtml

Before going 1-for-4 with a run and RBI on Tuesday, Austin Nola had posted a .320/.370/.560/.930 line with an OPS+ of 148 in 136 plate appearances.

Austin Nola has made 30 appearances at first base, 14 at second base, two at third base, two at catcher, one in right field and one in left field.

The elder Austin may not have a promising future but he's provided feel-good story in a losing Seattle season.

In the off season DD would be wise to invest in starter depth and not have slop regularly dished up by the likes of Johnson and his 6.58 ERA

Somebody please remember that my run as GT thread starter ended with this loss. As usual I will probably start one today (Wednesday) if nobody starts one by game time. Hoping somebody gets there before me.

Why did Maine break off from Massachusetts to become a separate state in 1820?

Because we were sick of the way they clogged up I-95 on the weekends, and besides, who wants to have to cross the cultural swamp of New Hampshire just to get to your state capital?

Now that the game is over, why is N.Dakota and S.Dakota two separate states? I believe the total population for both is 500 people and they both lack diversity.

If I didn't have to uproot my family and everything I've established where I am now, I would seriously consider moving to one of the Dakotas, Montana, or Idaho. People, crowds, traffic, etc. are getting on my nerves.

Ruins a really good performance patched together by the pitching staff against a legit pitching star in Nola.

It figures on a day that our pitching staff pitches very well outside of the first inning, our offense cannot muster more than 2 runs. Tip your hat to Nola, I guess, but I still think the offense should have been able to do better.

The 2 base running gaffes in the 9th cannot happen, to say the least, but Xander is not to be blamed for this loss. This is on the offense, as a whole.

Nola totally dominated our RH hitters and as he got farther into the game that got worse, not better unfortunately. A team that was heavy LH hitter dominant instead of heavy RH hitter dominant should give a much better accounting of itself v Nola.

As much as the off handed hitter/pitcher thing is a factor in baseball Nola almost takes it to an absurd level.

No way, they'll probably replace Mount Rushmore with Justin Bieber, a lumberjack, Drake, and a bottle of maple syrup.

Meh. He has invested more in the rotation than in the lineup or the bullpen. Price is $31M/year, Porcello $21M, Sale $15M (but just extended at $25M+ per year), Eovaldi $17M, and ERod $4M. I'm not sure what Cashner is paid by the Sox for 2 months.

Last year the rotation, basically the same guys as this year, was good enough to win 108 games plus 11 of 14 in the postseason. This year, almost complete collapse except for ERod who is having a career year.

DD would be wise to resign and let someone else pick up the pieces.

We need to invest in the farm and 40 man roster depth.

Next year. We still have one more year of relevancy left as long as Sale remembers how to pitch. After that its time to rebuild and DD is not the right guy for that job.

OMG the stereotypes we Canucks have to put up with.

Reminds me of 2017.

Wow. It always stuns me when Sox fans turn on the players. I agree Bogie made a bad decision going to 3b on a grounder to the left, but I am also aware that the Sox, including JDM on that very at bat, were 0 for 7 with RISP. So I remain unconvinced that play cost the Sox the game. In fact, had he made it safely to 3b, the Sox would not have had to get a doggone hit to bring him home.

What cost the Sox the game in my not so humble opinion was solid pitching by the Phillies, especially their starter, who had not only four good pitches--fastball, changeup, curve, and slider--but good command of them. Thus wild applause for JBJ nailing one of the very few mistakes Nola made last night.

Yes, Johnson was terrible in the 1st inning, but he actually went 3.1 innings and gave up only the 3 in the 1st. The Sox were still in the game, especially when the bullpen went 5.1 scoreless innings. But the Sox lineup just could not deliver with RISP, not because they are a bunch of boneheads, but because the Phillies pitching was good.

I don't know what the fix is. You would know far better than I. But I do agree DD is not the right guy to make it.

Back on my hobby horse. To me it's absurd to claim boneheaded plays are a significant cause of games lost this year. Why? Because the Sox ERA is the worst, 4.71, in the John Henry era(back to 2002), but the runs scored are 2d best in MLB and will likely be more than last year's Sox. The pitching is far and away the reason for this so-so season.

I am not defending Bogaerts on that play, which was wrong, but will defend him for the overall season he has had to date, including any and all errors committed in the field. If the starters had had seasons as good as Bogie's, the Sox would again be running away with the AL East.

Although your pitching is the big culprit for this season's troubles, I think it should be noted that runs scored/allowed this season are way up compared to last season. For reference the average MLB team scored 4.45 runs per game last year. This year that average is 4.86 runs per game. That's a 9% increase in just one year which is pretty significant. Juiced ball is the likely reason.
