When I googled the question, the article also said that Ruth, Aaron, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Ott and Musial never struck out 4 times in a game. Given their power, that surprised me a little. Other names listed of more recent vintage were Brett and Gwynn. One additional name who I was surprised never had one was our own #8. Thought that maybe at the end of his career someone might have gotten him for sombrero.

Rose struck out 4 times in a game, hard to believe.

Teddy wasn't on that list? That's surprising. I can only wonder how many fans were hit with bats when Williams struck out 4 times?

I edited my earlier question; Ted never struck out 4 times either.

Sorry. I did see where you posted that Williams never struck out 4 times.

Musiał is a guy that you don’t hear about as often as DiMaggio, Mantle and them but he was just as special. Stan THE MAN Musiał.

Stan, as great a hitter as he was, had the most unusual stance in the batter's box. Almost like he had his right foot on top of his left foot.

Hard to figure two excellent MLB teams , with men on base frequently cannot get a key hit or some other strange occurence to score the run. Had someone in front of Bogey's popfly double been on base, they would have scored. Unless it was someone who wanted to watch the arc of the ball instead

I will guess that Hector's and Cora's luck runs out in this bottom half. Something weird will happen

Fatigue will set in eventually... you would think.

I remember Yaz striking out 3 times against Tommy John late in his career. I saw Tommy John at the Auto Show in NYC after that and I told him that he shouldn't have done that to the great Yaz. He looked at me and said, "don't worry, I don't think that will ever happen again."

Yaz didn't K a lot for a Home Run hitter. He has one of the better HR to K ratios in history I believe. Joe D had the best. I think that he homered as often as he k'd.

This is the 3rd game of the WS all over again. A lot of opportunities to win and we just can’t. Hopefully this ends up with a win.

The blind ump has been calling that outside pitch a strike all night. Why is the batter surprised?

Especially a guy who’s walked back to the dugout 5 times.

You loved YAZ? I couldn't tell. I loved Ted Williams, but I try to keep it a secret.

Hehe.. Teddy had a host of nicknames didn’t he. Teddy Ballgame, The Splendid Splinter... probably some others I’m not aware of.

For any complaints about the Red Sox inability to secure this W yet, imagine a Twins fan, at home, wondering where his team went
