I consider Casablanca and Chinatown to be among the top ten films ever made. Just sayin’.

Nicholson had to wear this ugly bandage on his nose for a good part of Chinatown. Not many actors would have done that.

Great actor.. one of the very best. Too bad he’s retired.

The Natural. Redford wore the #9 to honor Williams.

Bull Durham

Fever Pitch

A League of their Own

Moneyball

I probably enjoyed those four the most.

You're missing Bad News Bears. Matthau should have been awarded the Oscar for that classic. Who recalls "Fear Strikes Out" ?

If I were at Fenway for this game I’d go straight to the damn bar.. either grab a few inside or just leave and go to Cask n Flagon for a bread bowl and a few cold ones. Hopefully Price can get this team going in game two.

Game doesn’t have a pulse might as well start a poll...

What is your favorite baseball film?

The Natural and 8 men out. Both fantastic.

Always made me laugh when they showed Tony Perkins throwing a baseball.

On a serious note, the Rays have had good pitching for about a decade or more with virtually no budget. Some person(s) must have been in charge of the pitching development. Why hasn't John Henry busted out the checkbook and hired away those people? What exactly does Brian Bannister , the Sox VP of Pitching Development, see coming here over the next few years ? It's yet manifested itself on the mound. Edited by vegasbob

Perkins was the perfect actor for that role. Wackier than Piersall himself.

No love for The Sandlot, Long Gone and Little Big League?

This team is showing no fight, no life, no desire, no fire. Winning that WS must have made them complacent! They look disinterested in playing. TB is making them look bad.

Hate thinking about what will happen to this Sox team playing in that dungeon in Tampa rest of this year.

TB pitcher comes in with a 6.21 ERA and he looks like Cy Young against this offense.

Any pitcher on a major league roster is capable of doing what Yarborough has done today. What separates the bad from the average from the good from the great pitchers is how often they can do it. Weber threw a gem a few starts ago and has done nothing since.

The no-hit rolls are rife with the names of non-entities. And there are bunch of greats and near greats who never threw one.

Later guys n gals.. gunna get some shopping done.

It’s weird watching this team right now.

Part of me wants them to tank but I know that, that ain’t gunna happen. Dombrowski will make some moves.

Make no mistake.. Weber is the second coming of Gregory Maddux. Book it!

How do you make this offense better? JBJ for one needs to be replaced. C'mon man, .188 is not a batting avg for a legit starting outfielder. He's a 4th outfielder at best. Stop with this nonsense.

Benin and Betts are hitting under 270 as well. That’s not helping.

Right now I’d be more worried about what they are not getting out of the likes of Betts, Benintendi, etc., i.e., the guys who are supposed to be carrying this team. Bradley’s lack of offense is a concern, but they need the other guys to get going far more.
