It's an eyeball stat but when a reliever gets past 20 pitches in an inning, their effectiveness goes downhill fast. Taylor is at 33 now and getting scored on heavily

To be fair, 3 of these hits have not exactly been roped.
To be fair, they have as many walks as we have hits and they have one less HBP than we have hits. Our pitching stinks and so does our hitting. And Tampa is playing a bad game.

That’s a good observation. All I’ll say is Taylor would have been better served if a couple of guys had hit the ball a little harder and given Bradley or Betts a shot at actually catching them.

OTOH, if he fields the bunt he may have gotten out of it with 1 run scoring.

True, but the other three were hit sharply. At least no walks. The real point is that he no real out pitch or velocity to get him out of that inning.

Yeah, very much a mixed bag.

It's too late now after the 4 run ninth, but the first two Pawtucket guys (Chavis/Hernandez) get on base and Devers, then Vazquez cannot score them. Nunez puts the nail in the coffin. He can't even strike out without hurting someone

Price will probably deliver an excellent start, and turn this ship around. Snell going tomorrow will be its own challenge.

These games haven’t even been close. Disgraceful. Cora will get a pass this season but i wonder if his stay in Boston will be short.

If you hadn't seen it in some recent seasons under Farrell, you wouldn't believe how the WS winner can go from the best to mediocre over one off season. See you fellows later.

I'm not a big Cora fan, so I won't lose any sleep over the length of his tenure in Boston.

He could do that but unless some offense shows up it may not matter. If you have to have your starter throw a shutout to win, you are in trouble.

Same no-bat channel, same no-bat time.

If they do turn this ship around, remember it was the few of us who remained on the deck of the Titanic along with the band who took our requests.

It’s amazing that the Yankees are facing tougher teams and struggling yet these clowns can’t take advantage. I know tampa is a good team but you’re at home.
