Sanchez with two more bombs. Voit in the middle of everything. Gleyber with an RBI. Voit has to be in he discussion for MVP a month in. He’s been awesome

Watch Voit get hurt now

Andujar returns and promptly makes two errors

The Yankees should stick with their 4th string players.

Urshela is an awesome defender. That’s never been his issue. We needed to DH Sanchez yesterday due to day game after night game, but for now, when DH is open, I use Andujar there

Domingo German shuts down a good lineup and essentially has replaced Luis Severino as our ace of the staff. His stuff is wicked, but he’s learned how to command it. He has also gotten more comfortable setting guys up when needed but pitching to contact without runners on base. He’s cemented himself in our rotation going forward and may be why the Yankees have decided to restart Severino’s pre-season program May 20, something that’ll keep him out behind the ASB

Urshela was to blame for the deficit, so it’s only right he fixes his own mess. We got handled by Gonzales and while the rain delay got him out of there, our defense extended the M’s lead. The AB from Urshela was great. 0-2 tater, but he fouled off a bunch of pitches and had the power to go into monument park. Tanaka has nothing the first three innings but eventually found his split and had a good outing. All in all, this team keeps fighting. Andujar looks lost at the dish, though. Doesn’t look injury related, looks like a recognition issue. He’s gotta get right

Pulled that win out of our ass, can't complain though. Gotta keep playing Urshela at 3rd while he's hot.

Not the worst thing that's ever been pulled out of an ass, but it will be pretty s***** if it keeps happening

Where was this Seattle team opening weekend? Hopefully we get to kick them while they're down this weekend

After starting out 13-2 with a +42 run differential, the Mariners have gone 6-17 with a -37 run differential. Looks like the Sox just played them at the wrong time. But it also didn't help that your team was playing like dogshit to start the season.

One rough inning from German nearly doomed us, but Urshela delivered again and the pen held on by the skin of their teeth. If we win tonight, we take over sole possession of 1st

Yanks battled back again, but Holder couldn’t maintain the tie then we go to Cortes who blows the whole thing open. With all the guys we have down there, why bring up this kid? He’s a nothing pitcher

You could also question pulling CC after only 76 pitches for Holder.

CC has become a 5 inning pitcher. I’m okay with that move. Holder is a good reliever, so it doesn’t bother me that he came in. What bothers me is we treated a 2 run deficit vs the team we need to catch like an insurmountable deficit

Taking 2 out of 3 from the Rays in their s*** stadium is as much as we could have asked for. Also handed losses to Glasnow and Snell. This team continues to impress despite current shortcomings.

Are the Yankees cheating again? Why hasn’t this game started? I know the field conditions are bad but that’s not an excuse to play the game. Fix it. Borderline ridiculous that they’re still working on the field. Edited by d-money

Good to see you're as critical to the Yankees as you are to the Sox. ;)

OK, it's time to ask...

Who in the hell is Gio Urshela and how in the hell is he so freaking good all of a sudden? There is NOTHING in his history to suggest he can hit like this.

Journeyman infielder with a great glove and a minor league history of good contact. I went through his peripherals in a thread on the Yankee side. His peripherals right now are akin to his best minor league season where he OPS’d over .800 and hit 13HRs. If he can do that over a full season, we’d be ecstatic.
