Now that's just plain not fair! Some posters don't stop talking to you. Instead they mock the posts of the posters they don't like.

i actually dont want to argue about this but convenience is definitely the wrong word. FAA tracking says he flew from boston to florida for those 2 days and then to KC for the AFCCCG. kind of inconvenient way to fly to KC IMO.

also, whats more convenient than calling a $500/hour hooker to come directly to your hotel room???

 

Well, he has a house in Palm Beach, so it's not like he went down there just for that. He went down there to get out of the miserable weather up here.

Exactly, and that's one reason they got so filthy rich in the first place.

 

Plus, these guys care a lot about image, and even though I have nothing to back up my opinion here, I don't think Henry wants to be called the next George "buy a championship" Steinbrenner.

It's my opinion, Henry will reset the tax after 2019 or 2020, and then try not to ever go over the max line again- perhaps even trying to stay under the $20M line, too.

An MLB owner who is willing to spend what it takes to give the fans a championship team is to be commended. I have no complaint with George Steinbrenner or John Henry doing it . The cry of " He bought a championship " is for the small time Charley losers . Today there are too many owners who take the revenue sharing and luxury tax money and invest it , but not in the team . That is the problem , not the Henrys and Steinbrenners. All of these guys are rolling in dough.

Devers drives in Pedroia from second with a liner for a double to left-center. Cora had hoped Pedroia would get to move on the bases, and he did: advancing to 2nd on WP, having to run hard off 2nd and then slam on brakes at 3rd while waiting to see if CF would make driving catch.

I *so* want to get on the Pedroia bandwagon. Say what you want about the bullpen, but if this guy can be back to hitting .290 - .300 with his gold glove defense and speed on the basepaths, watch out American League!!!
