No, but 108 wins.

Beating two 100 win teams just to get to the World Series...

Nobody in the post season could stand the test of crashing against the rock that was the Boston Red Sox. They never really changed their winning formula one bit other than dropping Starters into relief roles who had starts ahead of them in the actual series they were playing.

Really the Yankees though too young were more of a challenge than the Dodgers. The Astros, a bit weakened by injury were more of a challenge than the Dodgers were. While the Yanks and Astros crashed into the stone wall of the Red Sox, the Dodgers just crumbled and succumbed to inevitability.

Done by the 5th inning tonight.....5th inning of game 5.

My wife just said that!

Speaking of that.... my wife deserves game 4. The mojo she brought when she forced me to change the station, and would not let me turn it back until the 9th?

SHE was key! She followed the whole thing. Would not even give me a clue. A facial expression... LA up 4 -0, & she pulled me from the game. I was pissed. She told me to sit on the bench, & she promised a comeback. I tried to sneak a peak while she was following the game in the bath. She heard me & screamed to turn it off. I guess that was the 7th....

Game 4, 14 years after beginning with her game 4 ALCS, which by the way she also won for the Sox, & and she pulls out another classic!

This is forever s***!

Kimmi was right:

1) Home filed advantage is a mirage.

2) We didn't need Sale.

Dude that happens very few times, lets be real. 7-1 just shows you team. That's probably never happened. Just 1 game over .500 is hard.

All these guys can think to ask Sale is “how good does it feel”

I'm glad he got to be the pitcher on the mound when it ended.

Maybe it will help him want to stay here after 2019.

Amazing team! AMAZING!!!

They beat up on the Skanks, the Astros and the Dodgers to win it all!!!!!

They weren’t even stretched much!!!!

I am happy for Kinsler that his error didn't turn into disaster.

I am happy for Brasier (a career bush leaguer) who finally got a break and performed like a veteran all star.

There are just so many wonderful stories on this team. They have great stars, but what a supporting cast.

This is the 2nd greatest Red Sox team behind the 2004 Red Sox. Just my opinion.

That was a more meaningful win and a great team, no doubt, but this team never went down 3-0 in a series.

We beat the best of the best super teams- handily.

Best Red Sox team ever without question. A group of true professionals who were willing to put individual egos aside for the team, and it wasn't just empty rhetoric. The season was 7 months of pleasure -- 8 including spring training.

This is the best Red Sox team ever but for those of us who have around a long time (this was my 52nd season) NOTHING will ever top 2004.

Imagine growing up a die-hard Sox fan, and then making it to MLB, being traded to the Sox, hitting three HR in a game against the Yankees and then winning WS MVP in the Sox uniform. Pearce must be pretty happy right now.

I've always wanted Sox-Cubs.

That would be a dream match-up, except my wife is from Chicago. Divorce would be imminent.

All our losses this post season were winnable and involved a key error.

This team just beat you in so many ways -- and randomness played no role. They can pitch, run, hit and field -- the most well-rounded team in Red Sox history.
