My opinion of Price has done a complete 180 this postseason. He's performed well and, more importantly, he's had a great attitude and has been willing to do whatever it takes to help the team. I hope that continues tonight.

I think you have to really appreciate the work every starting pitcher has put in this playoffs. Porcello, Eovaldi and Price are willing to pitch literally almost every game, and I love their attitudes. I imagine Sale would be same way if he was fully healthy, which I believe he clearly isn't.

Sometimes one gets so emotionally involved in a game like last night that one doesn't notice the elephant in the room. Why did Cora go to Kimbrel with a 5 run lead? I don't believe anyone questioned it last night because of all the excitement. Actually, I was enlightened about this by the panel on MLB network. Was that a blunder by Cora equal to leaving E-rod in too long? I know the SOX winning excused the E-rod mistake, but tonight I highly doubt Kimbrel will be available. Oh well, hopefully he won't be needed tonight, but did anyone else think bringing in Kimbrel with the big lead strange? Brasier was still an option in the 9th. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

No problem with bringing Kimbrel in. I think there are several counterpoints. One is that the Red Sox had just proven you can score 5 runs in an inning. The second is that Kimbrel has shown that he will get you the 3 outs, even if it can be messy. Third is that if you put Brasier in you're probably going to have Kimbrel warming up in case there's trouble. If Brasier gives up a couple of baserunners you probably bring Kimbrel in. Then you've used both of them.

Agreed. He’s been fantastic.

I think Price has always been like this. He just had some unfortunate post season experiences, and just about everyone labelled him a choke or worse.

I'm glad he got the chance to lengthen his sample size and show the real Price to those who doubted him.

Cora has the better closer (Brasier) available tonight. He knew what he was doing.

How many here watched all 18 innings on Friday and the whole game last night? I did. As disappointing as Friday's game was, Saturday's was as satisfying.

It’s a mood point now but it should be over last night. We got this tonight but we have to get on Kershaw early. Go Sox!

3am is too late when you have little kids. I called quits at 2:30.

Last night, I turned it off because I felt like dog s*** and having the tv on made me nauseous.

And you know there are a lot of Dodger fans right now saying 'This should be 2-2.'

When the Sox took the 5 run lead , Brasier started throwing , Price sat down and Kimbrel let up for a minute. It seemed like Brasier was coming in for sure. Don't know what happened. Maybe Brasier had trouble getting loose , or maybe Cora just changed his mind. Have not heard any explanation.

Cora seems to like this idea of not even letting the opponent breadth. He steps on your neck and stays there "are you dead yet.....OK....your dead". I think that is why Kimbrel unless Brasier really just did not feel right or the bullpen coach caught sight of something and said something to Cora.

Only Left Handed batter tonight for Dodgers is Muncy. Get ready for Sale tonight. Dodgers flip that Line-up, and we got lead, and Lefties up late, we will see Sale. Remember Puig is not a good hitter against Lefties this year. Edited by OH FOY!

Let’s win the World Series tonight!!!

We partied at Skankee Stadium, twice. We partied at Minute Maid... why not end it at Dodger stadium? Quite fitting no?

GO RED SOX!!!

bringing in Brazier last night could have been a statement that he is the 2019 closer or at least it won't be Kimbrel. Kimbrel should be gone prior to the parade.

Everybody got Kershaw, as having one of his gems, this is when the Sox are most dangerous. When you expect them to lose.

I have no real expectations for tonight. We are up 3-1. I was going to be content with going back to Boston down 3-2 confident that the Red Sox would not lose a game to this Dodger team in Fenway. Not to Dave Roberts and his utterly futile upper management totally devoted to computer geek baseball.

So now, I am just going to watch the dynamics of this game 5. If the Dodgers get a little lead do they go into their festive ya' man mode or do they end up pensive and waiting for the ax to fall on their necks?

Maybe, just maybe I can spare the liquor cabinet another depleting evening during a Sox post season game for once.
