14-2 in WS games in this century, unbelievable. If they sweep this one, it will be better than the previous 2 WS sweeps . The best team in baseball is rolling. Now for warm weather (80's) in LA this weekend. Those warning track outs and wall balls will fly further. Pay attention Porcello.

Kelly has been lights out. Cora decided to add him to the roster as he loved the velocity. A lot of us questioned him on the roster, I know i did. I admit to being totally wrong on that one and Cora has been so right. Another great win tonight. Good pitching, pesky hitting, good speed on the bases, good defense. Even Devers looked sharp at 3rd and Beni made an excellent catch in left.

Our guys are backing each other up and seem to refuse to lose. I can see a lot of pride on this team.

Seems like we are going to win the WS in LA, and guess what, I’ll be there.

2 more boys! We’ve got this!

Btw, kudos to both Kinsler and VAZ. It was Ian who drove in the all important 1st run of the game and it was VAZ who started that 3 run inning with a 2 out single. So many players on the SOX who are contributing. The definition of a great team.

Completely agree big hits and plays from unexpected players! Although all we did was hold serve at home. We need to take care of business in LA. We did it in NY and Houston so we can in LA!

Price has been a revelation. We have another stud starter again. Something we need badly, because of the use of our other starters out of the bullpen.

Me, too, and I felt the same way about Kelly.

It is a good lesson to learn. Good managers and GMs put faith in the players and not just what they have done recently.

This team has been great and deep all year. We run well, field well, hit well and pitch well.

We didn't win 108 games by mistake. Yes, guys like Vaz and Kinsler are highlighting what a great team we have this year. Before it was Nunez, Devers, JBJ and everyone else given a chance to contribute,

A lot of criticism of Roberts keeping Bellinger on the bench... but his splits vs Lefties is even worse than I imagined. Can't blame Robert's for platooning him. .226/.305/.376/.681, That's pretty awful.

I am here in nyc and listening to nyc sports radio and these radio announcers are pissed and saying boston red sox fans are low class because they where chanting yankees suck. Give me a break like yankees fans are high class lol. Still don’t know why they are chanting yankees suck. They’re playing golf not facing us.

Because it's the Yankees.

Yes but they’re playing golf. Who cares. Just be happy that we are two wins away from having a chance to win a fourth title this century.

Rivalries are what makes sports fun. It's a respect thing as well as no one cares about teams that don't win. I'm sure Arod genuinely likes that he is still relevant with the chants.

Lol.. when you school a team 16-1 and have Brock Holt hit them up for the cycle all while beating them 3-1 to advance to the ALCS... the fans chant whatever the EFF they want.. and yeah.. the SKANKS do suck.

Yankees Suck chants break out at Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics games. It's not just a matter of a sports rivalry, it's become a Bostonian tradition, like clam chowder or bad driving. It's almost independent of the sport, it's just something that brings people together. Don't think about it so much, just enjoy it.

Price was on point. But your pen was perfect from the 7th on. I wonder if Eovaldi goes game 4, because to this point he’s been just the balls wherever he throws.

The Dodgers need to regroup if they’re gonna get back in this thing. Roberts has been winning through the NL playoffs by having two lineups depending on who he’s facing, but he’s sitting two of his best players when the Sox start a lefty. Now I get Pederson sitting vs lefties because he’s hitting almost .100 against them, but Bellinger and Muncy should be out there. They work the count better and can lose one against anyone. With the Sox clearly having an advantage going left handed, I’d consider throwing ERod in game 4. I know Porcello is going game 3. That game should be a slugfest. Buehler looks like a future ace, but he’s exactly the kind of player the Sox demolish. With Porcello going and no real left handed pen threat, the Dodgers will be going with their A lineup at home. Friday should be fun.

Timely. I just read two articles in the LA Times and both put all the blame on Roberts and the so-called Dodgers front office brain trust who send him specific instructions before every game. No criticism of any of the players. While I agree Cora has made better decisions, especially with his bullpen, I hardly consider Roberts to be a dunce.

I think the Dodgers will benefit more from the warm weather than from fixes to the lineup. That said, our Sox have played in overwhelmingly warm weather for almost all of this season, and my hat is off once more for the grit displayed by Price.

One thing the Sox pitchers have sustained in the postseason is what Cora made a dictum for the Yankees--keep the ball in the park. All those righty bats in the Dodgers lineup were there because of the lefty starters and the green monster. So tempting, but it turned out to be fool's gold.

Well said.

Lefties who know how to pitch in Fenway are better than righties.

You could just see the Dodger batters trying to hit homers to LF, and Sox pitchers throw it where they can't do it.

Well, it helps to have pitchers who can actually pitch to that edict.

I also believe Roberts has to get blame here. He pulls Ryu with the sacks packed, 2 outs and a 1 run lead. Why go to Madson? Of all the analytic approaches and second level scouting etc, why go to your worst reliever in what is likely to be the biggest spots just because it’s the 5th inning? Why not go Baez? Why go with a guy who was effectively cut from a .500 Nats team and wasnt much better in LA? Roberts is literally managing for his job, as crazy as that sounds. He’s heading into lame duck territory and seems to come up with bad choices in the biggest games.

Keep up the great work with that crystal ball, man.
