Wonder what the Yankee Fans thinking about Severino, which one you getting, Lights Out Kid, or the Quick Hook Kid? Boone is going to have to earn his money today, in smart decisions.

I hope it's one of those Severino games where it causes the annoying Yankee TS posters disappear for awhile after. It's that annoying little brother complex that those fans have. If they want to win a division title, they should petition the commissioner to move them to the AL Central.

That's rich considering the Yanks have won far more WS and division titles than the sox.

The sox will always be the annoying little brothers..........

That's Three-Time Defending Annoying Little Brothers to you. Now get in the Wild Card back seat where you belong...

Will everyone just put that little f***er on ignore please. Or at least not quote him?

Since 2001:

Yankees - 1 World Series wins

Red Sox - 3 World Series wins

Sox have won the division the past 3 years handily and will be the odds on favorite for the forseable future.

If you have to look back 20+ years to talk about how great your team is, your team kinda sucks. Any World Series that was won before the time your were a fan doesn't count. Little brother syndrome.

Bloody socks and Big Papis are what Little Billy Williams saw around every corner. Poor kid. No wonder he still wets the bed to this day.

True, but your team remains the only one ever in MLB history to blow a 3-0 lead in a 7 game series (and really it was a 3.88 to 0 lead). So you got that going for you.

Why cut it off at 2001 if you're gonna go that far back??? I wonder.

Past 10 years: Yankees 1 WS win, Sox 1 WS win. See how that works?

Done. Now will everyone please stop feeding the troll?

Interesting sidelight... In going to BW's profile to block him I learned that "Billy Williams hasn't made any friends yet".

Gee, I wonder why. LOL

Ok.

Ok.

Past 10 years:

red sox last place 3 times

Yankees last place 0 times

Funny how Yankee fans now look at last place finishes to judge team history by, instead of rings and titles.

Winning the division does mean something. But let's be real. Both our franchises have won enough that they are past the point where division titles are of much relevance. Obviously the Sox have had better regular seasons than the Yankees these past three years. But what did it matter in the end? Nobody remembers the teams that don't at least make it to the WS.

Teams like the Braves and Brewers will cherish those division titles since they're pretty rare for them. Our teams aim higher.

In this alternate reality, did 2007 and 2013 not happen?

Posted
They may not have, one never knows how paths may have changed had the sox not won it all in 2004

Can't we just restrict this discussion to the known universe?

Posted
Yeah, I'm sure they would have just given up, if not for 2004.

Nobody said they would have "given up".

We just don't know what different changes may have occurred had they not won. And those changes may have led to different outcomes.

Haven't you ever watched Back To The Future? :P

There is a universe where the Yankees are the big brother to the Sox, but that's not the one we currently live in.

Look, I don't have any problems with your posting. You and Jacko need to collect the other Yankee trash that post on here though.

Haven’t you ever read “Hichhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”? To paraphrase, the universe will sort itself out, but the biggest issue with time travel is grammar.

When it comes to altering timelines, Douglas Adams trumps Robert Zemeckis...
