Machado with yet another bush league slide into second base.....

Just read about this in the NY Post. They said there were 2 bad slides and on the second one the umps ruled a double play.

I also read that in Saturday's game Machado didn't run out a ground ball. And Joe Buck brought it to everyone's attention.

Attaboy, Manny - use the playoffs to show the world who you really are.

Like the Brewers, like the way they play. If they get by the Dodgers, they are not going to be an easy Opponent in the WS. That team grinds.

Manny is a heckuva good player , but maybe not the brightest guy in the room. Trying to drive down the price in his free agency ? Bet his agent is thrilled.

Craig Counsell went to two WS as a player, both times with teams with little to no playoff experience who were playing against historic teams that were heavily favored to beat the crap out of them, and his teams won both times anyways, both on walkoffs, and Counsell was instrumental in both winning runs. Now he's managing a team with little to no playoff experience in a year when the AL team, whoever it turns out to be, is heavily favored to beat the crap out of the NL team.

After attending five Spring Training games in three days I ended up seeing only two regular-season MLB games, neither featuring my endearing Seattle Mariners.

In my first Cactus League game I was in the second row among Brewers fans down the first-base line at Surprise Stadium. I thought the massive Jesus Aguilar was only a March wonder and that Josh Hader was a quirky but unspectacular reliever.

Last month I saw Aguilar (and Manny Pina) blast three-run homers in my first-ever game at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

For the rest of October I'm a Milwaukee Brewers fan.

I've always been impressed with Hader just because I got to play against him in little league and faced him once in HS. He was one hell of a player.

Machado says that hustling down the line is "not [his] cup of tea". What a douche.

Even more reason to hope the Yanks sign the guy.

As I am on record saying that Houston is the team to beat and should prevail in the World Series, It is my desire to have my Crow lightly seared and then baked in and served in a fresh Cranberry Sauce.

Thank you.

I don't want that doosh anywhere near the AL East again.

I'd love to see him in pinstripes.

1) His contract will cripple them into a cliff.

2) His cancer will spread and engulf the whole team.

3) He's over-rated anyways.

If you ask me, this is a perfect night so far. Get it to game 7! If the Dodgers end up winning the series, make Dave Roberts use Kershaw!

Then you’ll have to face Kershaw in games 3 and 7.

No way the WS goes 7. Any one of the top 3 AL teams (Sox, Yanks, Astros) is 1000% better than the top two NL teams. It won't be a sweep but there's no way the WS goes past 6 games.

I already put my predictions up there. If it’s Sox vs Brewers, I’m going Sox in 4. If it’s Sox vs Dodgers, it’s sox in 6. The way pitchers are now, guys don’t go on short rest unless someone ends up in a hospital (ie Price). Hence, the days of losing your ace for game 1 meaning something are over. Your ace throws in two games and maybe goes as a pen arm for another. The days when game 1 ace mattered were when game 1 ace threw games 4 and 7. The last team to do that and win were the 09 Yanks

In the 2014 WS, Bumgarner pitched Game 1, 7 innings, Game 5, on regular rest, 9 innings, and Game 7, on 2 days rest, the final 5 innings. I would say it was fairly important to the Giants winning that Bumgarner started Game 1.

Having your ace start Game 1 is certainly important. If the series does go to Game 7, that pitcher would be available out of the pen, if nothing else. Game 7 is all hands on deck.

Besides that, I think most teams would really like to win Game 1. So even if your ace couldn't pitch 3 times, having him start the first game is important.

Famous last words.

THe Brewers and Dodgers are both better than some fans give them credit for being...

Agree. Buehler tonight, No-hitter, or a Meltdown. Big Gamble. Kid jumped 3 Leagues second year in the Minors, after College, all the way to Triple AAA.

I see a WS between SOX and MIL, but I would like it against the CUBS. In any case SOX of course wins.

Bold prediction hahaha
