Cubs were the best team in the NL for most of the season, finished tied for the best record in the NL, then don't even make the actual playoffs. The new wild card is cruel, but very entertaining.

 

It makes for some good baseball, that's for sure.

Given that the Sox don't need another OF, any deal for Yelich would have likely started with one of the current ones.

I'm rooting for the Guardians for a different reason. My aunt lives in NE Ohio and is a huge Cleveland sports fan. I usually root for the Guardians year round, except when we're playing them

I’m rooting for the Guardians because I don’t want to face Houston. Cleveland made the postseason because the rest of their division was garbage. They’d have been 3rd place in the east. It would be a tough ALCS still, but much less stressful
