Did Pillar put too many eggs in his basket when he dove for Mookie's ball? He must have known that if he didn't catch it Mookie would end up on third but if he pulled up on it he could hold him to a double.

Either way, Giles looked bad. He gave up that hit to Mookie, walked Beni, bomb to Moreland, Bomb to JBJ, etc. I don't think it mattered what Pillar did, Giles wasn't getting thru middle of Sox order.

Stroman didn’t earn a run in 7 IP and left the game won 3-1, and this ended up 10-7 with a L. Wow!
