Generally agreed, and don't think it will even come up at that time, but he did get 14 outs tonight, giving up 2 runs , walks and hard shots all over. The BP gave up 5 runs in 4 innings and were teetering up to the last out.

Shout out to all the members of this site recently for the game threads, they've been much more enjoyable lately without a few absurdly annoying people whose names don't need to be mentioned.

 

Also, Thunder is without a doubt making the first game thread of the playoffs.

Moon, I watched the game. POM looked terrible and pitched only 4.2 innings. If you want to test a team's BP, just have all the starters go 4.2 innings. POM doesn't deserve another start once Sale returns. I'm sure DD will want POM to start again because of all the money invested in him. I'd prefer he was put on waivers and see if someone is dumb enough to bite.

I thought that it was the best stuff that Oom had so far this seaso. That isn’t saying a lot, but his velocity was up a tick. The walks were still a problem. Even when Pom was money last year, his starts were torturous. He works slowly and throws a lot of pitches.

He reminds me so much of Dice-K. Works slowly, throws a ton of pitches, kills the BP. Dice-K, like POM, also had one great year with the SOX.

Pom had an even better first half to 2016, before the "undetected" injury, but the analogy is spot on..
