It’s getting ugly folks, pure dirty water LOL!

 

Only ugly if one is a Yankem fan. I think it's quite beautiful and I hope tomorrow is just as beautiful. I live in Yankem country here in central NY and Yankem fans are more annoying than mosquitos.

I don't think anyone s/b surprised about Kinsler. He's been good his whole career. Getting him was a steal.

 

There was some bitching in the thread where we traded for him. I didn't understand it. Guy is a pro and was instant upgrade at 2B for his defense alone.

A few years ago I posted a big THANK YOU to the Dodgers' organization for cleaning up the mess here in Boston. Now I want to post a big THANK YOU to both the Toronto and LA Angels' organizations.

The big Yankees board is going absolutely insane right now. It's one of the most entertaining things I've ever read. Doom and gloom and even more unnecessary negativity than our gamethreads. I'm going to read the entire thing.

Just heard that today the SOX FO told Betts they wanted him to play his entire career here and offered him a long term contract. Betts said thanks, but no thanks, he'll go year to year. Sad, that's it's always about the money, even when the money offered is in the multi-millions. Can't blame Betts, when it was the owners who made all these obscene contracts possible. I've said this before and I'll say it again; Charlie Finley was the smartest owner in the history of baseball. He saw the future and said "see ya."

He is no different than anyone else: if they pay him he will spend his career here. Its purely business.
