Surprised Hanley didn't take a hack at the 0-1 regardless of Beni running. That was a meatball for Hanley.

Beni did his job by drawing a walk and stealing to give us a runner in scoring position with 1 out and the 3 and 4 hitters coming up. Unfortunately Hanley has been cold, Martinez drew a walk but Bogaerts sung at a ball slightly out of the zone high. The only good thing is we racked up around 30 pitches on Bundy in the first inning so maybe good things will happen. No MOreland again tonight. Woner if he is hurt?

OK I've seen enough. I've really supported Bradley, but if he can't hit a series of pitches like that (and those like it he saw yesterday), he has no business in the league. Having the manager spend time with him in bp is a waste of time for both of them.

Eck is acting like they are not throwing everything past JBJ no matter what the pitch or what the location. They are. Its just that he is so helpless at the plate now that they are just not even challenged by JBJ. Just throwing FB's right past his bat. Its a victory when his bat touches one of those and he should be totally prepared for pitchers just throwing FB's to him. God help him the next time somebody throws any sort of breaking pitch. He will probably break a leg just swinging at it.

You know JBJ hits like a pitcher, I hope. He again strikes out on three straight fastballs.

JBJ is just too stubborn to help himself or accept help from anybody else for that matter and this treat him with kid gloves thing worries me.

Next step if it were me...sit him down and force him to watch all those ugly AB's from 2014 so he reminds himself of what his stubbornness got for him then. Honestly I am not kidding. I would absolutely do that because I would not feel like I had a choice.

I should take the opportunity to just elaborate a little on my Jones comment. Ballplayers simply don't seem to be as situation aware as they used to be. Jones is a legit solid very good ballplayer. Yet there were two outs. So Jones would have been off to the races on any contact to anywhere. So why would he be that far off 2nd base?

The fact of the matter is that Cora by continually putting Bradley in the line-up and not Moreland is a mistake. I'm thinking maybe JBJ has something on either Cora or DD. Embarrassing pictures or video?

Maybe video of Cora WITH DD! That would do it.

The presumption is that JBJ saves runs with his once in a generation center fielding.
