I wouldn't bring sale back for the 9th. We need this guy in the long run and he has thrown 112 pitches. Kimbrel has to do his job.

This is why I'm not adamant about any of the base coaching calls made on this board. I never see the 1st and 3rd base coaches in the play.

But, I'd say at this point from what we have seen this year, there is something a bit broken.

I don't. If you want to, blame it on Farrell because he wants his baserunners aggressive and I think that includes his 3d base coach. What happened to JBJ, however, was simple inattention or misjudgment.

Don't they have a lousy bullpen this year?

No, it's OK. d-money is just the type of fan that hemorrhages angst all the time. He's the guy that said the Red Sox should be sellers on July 31st

The Yankees were never threatening to take the lead.

Nothing like another Sox basepath blunder to get the posts flowing LOL

We need a baseball channel that only follows the first and third base coaches the entire game...... I'd be glued to that right now..

Horrible AB by Leon. He's been awful at plate tonight.

That knee is probably still bothering him. He just sat out a week and probably wasn't taking a whole lot of BP. But his job tonight was to catch Sale, and that he did to near perfection.

Seriously...it's becoming a matter of great intrigue.

It's a funny game. A guy can go from being a goat to a hero in one AB!

But.. when I played and coached it was automatic that the runners held up fingers to indicate that they knew how many outs there are. What happened to that?

With this team we need flip boards like they use in football to indicate what down it is.

mitch moreland is so goddamn weird. I know this dude is sitting in his locker room after games playing with a fidget spinner and spinning it on his wiener.

They do it in the outfield on the team. I haven't noticed it done with baserunners...

I've seen some guys do it. Maybe they all do, there's not always a close-up of a guy when he reaches. But just as when you coached, every once in a while, the brain turns off and they forget.

You might be the only one thinking about that though.

Definitely the most random post of the night. Congrats.
