From now on I am referring to Farrell as TOB Farrell -- Tits on Bull.

I keep forgetting to google this when I'm not on my work computer.

@PeteAbe

Now for the bad news: Red Sox have placed Dustin Pedroia on the 10-day DL (retroactive to 7/29) with left knee inflammation.

This guy hasn't been able to stay healthy the last couple of years. Not shocking at all and I love the guy.

should have traded him

Good thing they traded for Nunez! Sheesh...

I liked this trade more as a depth move than as any significant upgrade to our offense, but so far, Nunez has really impressed. I know he's going to cool off, I just hope he doesn't go into sleep mode that some of our hitters seem to be in.

...and he was one of our hottest hitters.

Ouch. Kimbrel not only gives up a HR to tie the game, he loads the bases and makes a wild pitch to give Cleveland the lead. What else can go wrong?

Two wrongs make a right.

Vaz saves the day!

Reed gives up a tater. Kimbrel struggled terribly and then gives up the lead.

Suddenly the 8th and 9th inning don't look so locked down!

Suddenly up is down- down is up. Fister is letting up 5 less runs than Sale.

It's the end of the world as we know it!

Miller gives up a tater. Allen struggled terribly and gave up the lead.

Suddenly the Guardians don't have a good bullpen anymore!

Baseball is a crazy sport. One of the oddest games last night that I have ever lived through.

There must be some nights when the air is specially charged in a way that's conducive to baseballs getting smoked.

Yup, neither pitching staff looked very good last night.

But, I'll take the win!

Hopefully, Vazquez keep his hot streak going.

How many fans were killing Farell for replacing Leon with Vazquez and "screwing up" Sale?

No matter what you think about Pedroia, if he's out for longer than a 10 day stint, it'll be bad news for the Sox.

maybe. personal numbers he was doing fine this season. but night's like last night for a moment make me wonder if the lack of "it's them, not me" on the field helped the comeback / team unity / morale. although, the hits were probably just random.......

Well, Pedroia was still in the dugout, so I'm sure he's still throwing his weight around.

I'm not sure that Moreland was standing at home in the 9th thinking "I shouldn't run because Pedroia is the 2b tonight. No wait, he's not playing. I should run!"

"It's not me, it's them" aside, it still irks me that the leg/knee Pedey is having trouble with is the same one Machado f***ed up with his cheap shot. It strikes me as the football mentality of "the sooner we can get their key players out of the game the better chance we have of winning."
