No that has to go to Chris Davis in Baltimore. He looks like a total dufus while Rasmus just looks like a garden variety spaz.

But I admire your thinking!

We cant forget our friend John Lackey

Does anyone honestly see this team playing deep into October?

**Raises hand**

I see the team making the playoffs. Deep into October might be a different story because the playoffs are largely a crapshoot. Some would even call the playoffs largely random.

Hello fellas,

New guy here. Been lurking for a few months and figured I'd start to chime in.

Welcome aboard Bama!

wow, he got rung up on that? Just... wow

The ump was really bad last night. That was one of the worst called games in recent memory.

Mookie is quite useless if he hits with the bases emptied most of the time. Farrell is a turd.

I take it you're not a big fan of Mookie at leadoff. Haven't they been scoring more runs since they moved him there?

Robot umps, Kimmi, it's the only answer. Some of these guys are terrible. And they're supposedly the best.

I am a big fan of Mookie at leadoff, as I think you know. I'd also be good with him batting cleanup.

Sorry, I can't go there. It just goes against every fiber in my body. I don't like the instant replay that's already in place.

The solution, IMO, is to demote or fire an umpire who has that bad of a strike zone. They can certainly find someone human to do a better job than that.

They won't do it.

Not exactly. Didn't score much at Milwaukee or last night. We need his powerbat to play behind base runners. The bottom of this order is not getting on.

That is right. The bottom of the order is not getting on so the opposing pitcher is facing Mookie with no runners on and frequently with one or 2 outs, so they are not going to let him hurt them in a close game. If they have a nice lead, he can only cut into it by one run, so his effectiveness is really limited there. Dumbass Farrell at least needs to flip flop Mookie and Pedroia to reduce the number of DPs.

What you need is Porcello to pitch like Porcello. Last season, his BABIP was down in the .269 range and he won the CY. This year, it is up in the .327 range. The homerun ball has increased dramatically as well, up 0.7/9IP. Now his K rate is up this year which is making his FIP look good, but to this point, Porcello appears wild in the zone which is why he is getting hammered. He has already lost more games this year than all of last year. Now, part of that is the offense, but the other part is that he isn't lasting as long, and he isn't that effective. 2017 is making 2016 look more like the career year that it was.

What the Red Sox are doing in rescheduling today's game is BS. I am glad that we will get to see baseball today, but to change the schedule on such little notice while denying any exchanges and refunds is heavy handed and very non friendly to ticket holding fans. In many cases, fans travel long distance to see the Red Sox. Some fans are flying into town for the weekend and the Red Sox are part of their itinerary. Other fans work on Saturdays, so switching the time to a day game means that they cannot go to the game. I understand that they want to reschedule the game so that it is played, but not offering exchanges or refunds is BS. How many refunds and exchanges would be requested -- probably not too many with Chris Sale pitching. The only people who would request a refund would be those who just cannot get to the game because of the time change. Coming on the heels of the FO so piously pronouncing how much they want to make the fan experience fun and safe and limit exposure to inoffensive behavior, I think the decision to deny refunds or exchanges is inconsiderate and somewhat hypocritical.

he pitched well enough to win last night. The defense blew up behind him once again, and the popgun offense needs 3 or 4 errors from the opposition if they want to put up more than a couple of runs.

Porcello has been f***ed raw by this defense over and over, 4 starts loss because of them. About 60+% of ball in play to left are not converted when he pitch, up from 25% last season. There were 2 last night that were routine plays.

The only thing he has done differently is using the fastball too much up. He has a great K/BB.

A good defense infield can shave over half a run off his ERA, which he should sit in the mid 3, an excellent #2 behind Sale.

So what's your preferred lineup 1-4?
