Do you let Kimbrel pitch the 9th or have somebody else mop it up. I have Abad, Kelly, Taylor mop it up.

Not sure I trust any of them.

Leon is on fire. I trust those guys to hold an 8 run lead, so hopefully no Kimbrel.

Every single player in Red Sox lineup has reached base this inning, except Deven Marrero, who is 0-5 and is only Red Sox player who hasn't gotten at least one hit and had at least 1 run scored.

Let's not forget that Santana--lowest ERA in MLB and 5-0--and the Sox pummeled him for 6. By pitching the 6th, Sale gets the win. And the Sox lineup, with Betts leading off, Pedroia 2d, Bogaerts 3d, and Benintendi 4th--a change I never would have thought of--appears to be recharged with 11 yesterday and 14 and counting today. Who woulda thunk? Certainly not me because I have badmouthed this lineup forever.

Will Farrell leave Kimbrel in in order to earn him a save? (i.e., is he willing to risk a game in order to pad stats?)

Although Sale could have gotten the win even if he didn't pitch the 6th.

Wouldn't it be less risky to leave him in?

I feel bad for this Twins pitcher, dude is grimacing and grabbing his shoulder and side, they said he was hurt coming in and they bring him in to sacrifice him in a blowout? Seems pretty stupid.

I don't really care what they do regarding Kimbrel, i'm fine with either side. Kimbrel has only thrown 11 pitches, there is off day tomorrow, and on other side, I'd hope we'd have a reliever who doesn't give up 10 in an inning.

Canon fodder.

Dammit! I wanted Deven Marrero to get the 2nd and 3rd out of an inning without hitting into a double play! (I wonder if that's ever happened?)

Coming into this series the most runs the Sox had scored in a game was 8. In the last 2 games they scored at least 8 runs in an inning twice.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I can picture it. That's the sad part.

Hopefully the bats stay hot.

He was at Pawtucket last year. Twins picked him from us in the rule 5 draft. Good chance he will be offered back .
