Two men on, nobody out, and we can't score. It's the same story all the time, and it's quite pathetic.

that was a horrible at bat by Sandoval. Waving wildly at balls out of the strike zone and missing the one right down the middle. Good thing RS pitching is keeping it close.

If this is how it's going to be, a blowout followed by a comeback win followed by a blowout, I'm going to lose interest in this team quickly.

I'm worried that last year was an anomaly for Porcello.

I wouldn't go that far, yet..... Everybody is entitled to an off night.

With our lineup, Porcello can be competitive if he gives up 2 or less HRs. The HR was his downfall in 2015, but last year he did a good job of keeping the ball in the park.

Try drugs.

I did and do. Why do you think I quit drinking?

I take 120 mg of oxycontin daily. I used to take 180 mg per dose. Doctors actually wanted to take me off them altogether. But they didn' have any answer to "What are you going to replace it with that works for me?"

Looks like Porcello will be relegated to pitching batting practice for the rest of the season.

Cy Young seasons are usually career best seasons, so he should regress. I am just hoping that he regresses to being a solid #3 and stays healthy.

That's the plan once my insurance will cover it. Otherwise I would have switched. I can't afford to pay for it out of pocket. Just no money.

I haven't smoked since high school. But I hear it is amazing for pain relief. I hope so. I've been on the oxy for 6 years and I am SO tired of it. I don't get that wonderful numb feeling everyone says about oxycodone. Percocets do nothing for me. Nothing even touched it until oxycontin came out. It was a godsend for me. But of course idiots abuse the s*** out of it, so people like me that actually need it and get benefit from it have a hard time getting it.

Porcello will be fine. He will regress some from his Cy Young season, but he should be a solid #2.

It's like the baseball gods came together and decided that Archer's losing streak against the Sox and Porcello's streak of going 6+ innings must come to an end.

Bummer. Pain management/relief can be tough.

I am not a pot smoker, but I've heard people swear by it for health reasons.

No one can get that big hit when we need it.

This team is so not clutch.

Archer was scared of Papi. Betts doesn't have that mystique.

Baseball Gods? Is there a statistical study to prove their existence? ;)

SSS. There just aren't enough baseball gods to prove their existence.

No proof needed.

What else could it be?

It's the same way that baseball gods frown up the lead off walk.

The baseball Gods said "let there be lights". And there were light towers, and it was good.

The Gods said "let there be green" - and there was green grass, and it was good.

The Gods said."No. Bigger green". - and there was the Green Monster and it was good.

The Gods said "let there be a park to play in' - and there was Fenway, and it was good.

But some baseball Gods were jealous. And said "We can build a stadium, not a park". We can be like the most high Gods.

And the Gods cursed them for their evil. And said "You will be punished by having to live and serve in the most vile, evil place in all of baseballdom."

And there was Yankee Stadium.

1. Baseball gods are defined as those than whom no greater force in the sport of baseball could be imagined.

2. If the baseball gods did not exist, then we would be able to imagine something of greater force in the sport of baseball: gods who do exist.

3. Therefore, baseball gods exist.

Love to see a couple of changes to this everyday linep. Swihart in left, Hernandez at 3rd, and Vazquez as the everyday catcher.Bradley comes back, he goes to CF Benni to LF and Swihart to swingman, pinch hitter, whatever. A .290 switch hitter should not be in Pawtucet

Swihart needs to learn how to be a catcher. There is no room in the outfield for him and he's too good to not play everyday.
