Was he going to bring another righty to face Upton? He got Castellanos and Cabrera on K's. He made the right call.

He pitched well against those two. But, Vmart at bat was a lot on him. He should have been taken out after that.

If he can't throw 20+ pitches, he needs to GTFO of the roster.

Not according to the pitch tracker I'm watching.

Umps call those strikes all the time though. I think I would've left Hembree in anyway. He was pitching well vs very good batters... ah well.

I would've brought Kimbrel in after the Upton walk, he's the money guy in the pen, you use him in those situations.

And yes I know I'm late but I can't follow play by play at work.

Kelly needs to go right after hitters with heat, not f*** around and walk them

Hard to do when you can't locate your fastball.

We had a great chance to steal this game. It would be a really nice game to put in the win column with half the lineup out on sick leave or bereavement leave, on the roadon the opponent's home opener.

He located it fine 99MPH two pitches before so..

Good game. Turned into a better game than I originally thought it'd be. Some nice fight in them.

It was a good game. Can't win them all.

Sox scored 5 with a lineup missing three of their big guns.

Wright did not screw the pooch.

Onward.

I'm glad I was wrong about no scoring this game and about Moreland. Wright wasn't great, but was OK. The Sandoval dinger was fantastic.

But my gosh that bullpen. Hembree, Scott, and Kelly managed to give up 4 walks, 3 hits, and 2 runs in one rotten inning.

Last season someone quoted I think Whitey Herzog: the difference between a good manager and a bad one is a great bullpen. Those three weren't great today, and, if you ain't great today, you ain't great, period. Four walks????!!!!

That was a good game with a very frustrating ending. I hate losing games in the late innings, especially after the team comes from behind like that.

That said, way to go Panda.

The great thing about baseball, (besides it's randomness MVP), is that there's almost always another game the next day.

The announcers didn't say much as to when the "big three" get back

Wasn't that the thired three-rn home run in the 3 games? The statesmen will be all over that one. First 3 games of the seans. Somebody will dig up that it was done by someone in 1849, or something.
