I'm usually talking to myself!

I can make some off-color remarks if you wish!:P

Seriously, as I told you last season, the Yankees are getting back to where they used to be. What they are doing now does not surprise me.

I'm just sincerely trying to figure out why you'd want to have a Yankees game thread on a Red Sox board.

I was only kidding! But if any of you ever want to check out the Yankees gameday discussion, go to the Riveraveblues website. It's just as dysfunctional and reactionary as you'd imagine.

I really don't want to check out a Yankees forum.

The few Yankees fans that hang out on Red Sox boards are about all the Yankeeness I can deal with. ;)

Great play to finish last night's game. As a Sox fan needless to say I was happy to see Ellsbury out at the plate.

As a baseball fan I was thinking it was a classic major league baseball play.

That was a crazy ten seconds of mixed emotions. I went from anxious before the pitch, to pumped after the ball got through the infield, to bummed when Ells got gunned out.

Tough call for the third base coach. The leftfielder was playing very shallow and got to the ball quickly. A good throw was going to nail him. Holliday was on deck. I think the consensus is that you take the chance with two outs. Hard to argue with that.

There were no mistakes by anybody, everybody did what they were supposed to do. That's why it was such a great play.

Agreed, I have no issue with him being waved home. With Ellsbury running, I'd say there's a 50% chance of scoring on that single. Compared to Holliday who has a .270 AVG, or 27% chance of driving him in. Obviously it didn't work out (for Yankees fans anyway), but I would make the same decision if the situation occurs again.

w. As noted previously, the Yankees have a good lineup , bench and bullpen. Starting pitching could be their Achilles heel. Yankee fans will soon tire of hearing " He didn't have his best stuff tonight ". " Just missed his spots ".

The Stros s*** all over Jeter Day. Good for him and his nauseatingly adoring fans, and the crooked, biased Joe Torre who presided over a locker room full of PED users. Edited by a700hitter

Jacko, I told you that the sterling gems tossed by Severino and Tanaka against the hitless wonder Red Sox were aberrations. Never doubt me Doc. I know when my team sucks and is making the opposing pitcher look good.

Tanaka' velocity is up this year. His location has been erratic. Severino is effectively a rookie.

what do you anticipate the Yankees will do this off-season no Harper signed a 1-year extension?
