He got ripped off in a major way.

Looks like it. I think that Beane just wanted Donaldson gone after the public spat.

A good manager would have handled that situation very differently. Of course the As don't have the money to keep guys like Donaldson for very long so maybe his exit was inevitable.

It still pisses me off that for whatever reason Beane chose Toronto as a trading partner and not the Sox.

Lost in the shuffle is Hanley's quietly monster stretch.

.325/.382/.638 1.020 OPS over the last 30 days.

He's also bumped his OPS against righties to an above-average .749 OPS (108 OPS+).

Beane is another one of those guys who is impressed with his own press clippings and he has won diddly squat.

Moncada or shaw today? We will see.

Good question. The last time I saw Shaw in LF he looked lost. (But the way the A's have been hitting it probably wouldn't matter very much.)

Hard to ignore him after his explosion, though.

Any body know if Moncada's folks got here to see him play? Would be nice.

Maybe Moncada needs to wise up. First a bad error, then picked off 1B by a mile. Talent ain't enough if you don't pay attention.

Say what you like, but Ortiz should have been tagging up on Ramirez's long fly out!

Yep. A run should've scored. As good as Ortiz is, he has to be the worst base runner in league

Not such a good game so far for Moncada; error, picked off first, and ground out with the bases loaded. Welcome to the bigs!
