Rangers are definitely tough this year, and last time, June 26, Perez went 6 giving up 1 run, a solo dinger, in Texas where we lost 6-2. Monday our guys showed they can beat the crap out of lousy pitching, but last night good pitching held them to 2 runs despite getting on base a lot. We will have our ace, Wright, but Hanigan will likely be catching, and doesn't do well with the knuckler. I think it will be a good game, but am not confident we can win, especially against a good lefty.

Last night we had 11 hits but were 2 for 16 with RISP. This is starting to look like some kind of fungus or bacterial invasion--RISP disease.

RISP disease? They scored 22 runs in the 2 previous games.

Well, great. I guess with Wright on the mound winning tonight will be a breeze. Feel free to float at the end of the game.

1st inning gloating is in order. That was a great and timely dinger by Ortiz. Nothing like a lead in the rubber game against a good team.

11-6.......this is why we stole 3B with less than one out with Sox leading 9-1 back in 3rd or 4th inning.

Running up the score? Hell no, we just don't trust our pitchers.....this is 3rd straight shaky outing by Wright....

might be coming down to earth though. offense bailed him out. but we will certainly take it.

That, or he's getting a bit tired.

He was fine until the 6th and he was over 100 pitches.

I hope he get's some rest at the break. I'd be happy if he didn't pitch in the ASG.

agreed. i could see him being "saved" as the pitcher in case the game goes extras....

although it would be fun to watch him pitch against the all stars is his butterfly is "on" and fun to watch the AL AS catcher try to catch him...

The Rangers defense bailed him out. They were doing a Keystone Cops impersonation early in the game.

good point. we got 6 outs in one inning because of those errors.
