@redsoxstats Red Sox have stranded 10 runners in 6 innings, but Price getting roasted for allowing 3 over 7 innings to a great lineup.

@jtomase If this result holds, Red Sox will have lost as many as David Price's starts (8) in 18 games as Tigers and Jays did in 32 last year.

Bannister will be on the field and in uniform before the game.

Price will go 8 with 2ER.

Anyone here pinch hit for Shaw vs lefty? Are we trying to build up his confidence? We had Hanigan on the bench....oops.

Solid start from Price. Offense needs to f***ing score.
8 innings and 3 runs against the Rangers. That is a good sign. I can't throw stones at the offense after the bombardment last night. Most nights this start from Price would be good enough to produce a win.

Typical Sox......run up hits and runs unnecessarily yesterday but can't get to the starting pitcher tonight.....

but hey, we are sending 6 All Stars....

@redsoxstats David Price:

7 IP, 2 ER, L

8 IP, 2 ER, L

8 IP, 3 ER, L

8 IP, 3 ER, in line to L

Balances out his 4-0 start over 6 games with a 6.14 ERA. Law of averages baby! (Ok, not really how it works, but...)

Edit: wrong tone! I want law of averages to return his dominance!

Kimbrel has an absolutely horrible track record when coming into games where his team is trailing or game is tied. Stop putting him in when it is a non-save situation. I don't know what the reasoning is for his struggles in these situations, but this is starting to become more than a weird fluke.

Yup.

He was born to close. He is useless in other innings.
