Ain't our day folks.

Lately it's never our day. Unless Price and Wright are pitching it's almost a guarantee loss now.

If you haven't turned it over to CNN to see what's new in the shooting news, please notice how Buchholz finishes. Twirling. Looking down like the mound's at fault. There are thousands of pictures out there that show Lefty Grove, Bob Feller, Koufax, Pedro and their finishes. They're looking right at the hitter. Not at the second baseman. The guy does not know how to pitch anymore!

We had the opportunity to add more pitching in the offseason and via FA. Getting an arm these days is going to be tough and you will likely have to give prospects in the process. Now we have to live with Clay Buchholz who has been done for a while and day after day the gap with BAL is going to get wider.
Don't worry we get to play Tampa next. They have lost 10 in a row. We can revive their season like we revived the White Sox.

Exactly, a talent evaluator like Belichik. Our pitching eval. sucks. We do good with positional player development, but what the heck is going on with the pitching.

I was reacting to a line drive off the pitcher's hand turning into a DP.

Everybody saddle up and get your gloves on... be ready to catch one of these souvenir balls if it comes your way.

It's a shame. IMO we are 1 arm away in the rotation an in the BP to win the division. Not sure how, when and who we are going to get, if so.

It's been a question I've been asking here for a while. Some thought that we had a pitching that could be "good enough" to compete. See what happened the last 2 years. This year has been good bit better but it's not good enough to compete in the POs.

I've seen a lot of reports saying that Atlanta doesn't have any plans to trade him and I don't blame them. Why would you trade away good young talent? On the other hand, I'd consider it if I was Atlanta if you give me your top two prospects and Shaw.

Ya over all I agree. I don't think there is anyway Atlanta will let him go. They will likely build a team around him... but it's still fun to think about

Clay actually is looking a lot more calm now.... Surprised he has rebounded since that ugly 1st

Pure luck that will run out soon enough.

I'm not. This is a classic start for him. Pitch 5-6 innings, look fine in 4-5 of them, and get bombed in the other. The problem is, sometimes the bombing is during the first trip though the order, somethimes it's the 3rd. You never know which.

Not to worry. 18 home games in July, 7 away. Tahe 2 of the 3 coming up in Tampa, and go on from there.

With this team lately I'm still worried.

Why are we waking the Rangers 3rd batter to bring up Adrian Beltre with a guy on 3rd in the 7th inning today...I just don't understand some of the coaching decisions Farrell is making lately....Including JBJ's bunts against the ChiSox Edited by Dalas21000

Chivas Regal. By the end of the 6th inning, Chivas broken bottle.

Very good stuff.

A less expensive and still delicious alternative is Dewars.

But I bet you knew that already.

Chivas is similarly priced but better (IMO) than Dewar's 12 or JW double black. JW or Dewar's red or white label (the cheap stuff) as sold here is better used to start bbq's or campfires than for human consumption. Unless liver health is of no importance to you, but death's hangover is.

This team has sucked at home lately.
